@cowboy sam

IIn my long life, I have come to the conclusion that all holidays are memorable.

Some for good times

Some for problem times

I am sorry for the kurfluffle between you and your DD.  I do hope next year you and DD get each a gift card. You take good care of yourself, and you get something you want!  It sure does not take much "to upset the apple cart" as the saying goes.

All my best!

Lubs you!

How sad that many of us have someone or something to dampen the holidays!  Geeze, only one day a year. Always something, I guess.

How wonderful it is to share such a close friendship with a friend so many years.  And you are both extra nice and generous.  This type of treasure is getting kimd of rare, and so happy for you both.  A true friend is like all the gold in the world.

I have a mystery...what did i do with daughters and mine $100.00   Visa gift card we  were given by son&grandson as a Christmas gift????

I have taken every thing out of my purse and wallet.....nope not thereSmiley Sad

Called son to tell him i lost it  and i was very upset! He advised me to call his sister and see if i gave it to her....i called and no answer!  I even sent her a text  asking her to call me....and no reply!!!!

I'm wanting her to look in her car to see if i might have dropped it there.

son was going to send a text to his oldest sons fiance  to see if i might have dropped it in their house  or in couch....no reply back yet from him yet.

I have looked in my house  and nothing!Smiley Sad  It was my fault!!!

I have to let it go  as my bp went up.!!!..until daughter or son calls me back....but ..if not found  i will use some of my money to give her for her share$50.00

Good news..son brought his 30 yr. old son over.. last night got my printer to work using wifi  and my computer..only took about 10 min.!!!Heart

Oh..paincake sis called while i was hunting for lost visa card  and was too upset to talk to her..so i didn't answer my land line.

I need to get something to eat...maybe my fav  ...Banquet sweet/sour chicken&rice meal!

ps

@SouthernBee   what  nice gifts  you gave to your friend.

Oh no, I hope your gift card isn't really lost.  I find most times when I think I've lost something, it turns out I just hadn't looked in some small spot hard enough.  Like I missed looking in one slot in my wallet, or I looked but I didn't feel inside a pocket and it was there all along.  Think back about each thing you did after you got the card and maybe you'll think of someplace you put it.  Hopefully it will show up, especially if you didn't go anywhere besides that house and car.  What a shame for this to happen after your daughter was so upset.

Well, at least you got your printer working!  Those young folks sure come in handy.😊  I need a few of them myself to help out with my electronics.

Relax and have some dinner.

Lubs ya!

@cowboy sam @geezerette : Yea!!! Two problems solved. Help with your printer and makes a difference when someone is available to help. Daughter found the gift  card. Just my opinion: I know it was a gift for you and your daughter but considering the drama with the gift card: I would let her use the full amount.

I have been busy trying to decide how to store my ceramic Christmas tree. I decided to make a bubble wrap sack to put the tree in and them place in storage container and fill up with bubble wrap. Then I will be finished putting decorations in storage. .....fun weekend.🤗🤗❤❤❤😀😀😀

Good idea.  I was thinking something similar.  Or maybe go together and let her pick out something more than half the amount of the card. 💕

Glad to hear you figured out a good way to store your ceramic tree! 👍

Well, after all, so happy that the gift card was found!  And you were not the offending party.

In any case, I am glad that episode ended - whew!  sometimes our own kids disappoint.

I am so sad today on the death of Jimmy Carter.  He was a genuinely good and kind man, devoted to his family.  A man of faith, his entire life was one of service until his final days.  I think his humble beginnings made him a better and more compassionate person.  Rest in peace, Jimmy.
