Grandson  sent me a text arounds 8am...telling me he just was getting ready to  to bed from working midnight shift   and  would call me later when he gets up.

I will be going to his house later to celebrate Christmas with him  and his new family....his dad and brother  and his sister and myself for taco salad that my daughter made  plus  whatever  other goodies  are there.

My gifts of money in cards  will be given out,plus their gifts to daughter  and myself.Easy peasy gifts

Daughter is spending the night with me tonight...per her request..Lawdy  hope that works out !

Told her she can sleep in my bed  and me on the couch

PS..my neighbor  brought me over a plate of home made cookies  that she,her daughter  and her mom baked yesterday!🤗🤗🤗😏

@Yahooey @cowboy sam @geezerette @cowboy sam : Good morning. I am so tired looking at food and eating. 

Well my DH is now a doctor. He researched my cloudy vision and determined that my cornea is swollen and ordered special eye drops. The package instructions : Do not use unless prescribed by your eye doctor. I am not using them and he is very upset, but my eyes.So to prevent any discussion I will only take my eye supplement and use other eye drops when he goes to lunch.

Church friend only took one to go plate of food. Still too much food. I am determined to make changes next year. Cook something different at Christmas and less food.

Christmas Eve get together  at grandsons house was great..".until gifts" were passed out   and my" 65 "  oops he is not his oldest brothers age  

He is "59"  years old as youngest-   gave daughter  and i "one gift card to share".  once again..so we will be together to use  it to spend time togehter..!...

Daughter mentioned that last years card that was given to us...she used the card once  and i spent the rest of the card amount!  sigh! This was to be used at Cracker Barrel...

she bought a nice short sleeved top  there  and later i used card  on a sweatshirt that  cost about the same amount  but we wern't toghter when i bought mine...so she thinks she spent less on hers and i spent more...but not true  but i didn't tell her this. .

My son once again explained why it was given to" both of us" as a gift. for us to be togther when used..well she acted unhappy   again and very quiet   but  I know that" she" would have preferred he gave us each one!

She changed her mind  about staying over night at my house  and   said  she wanted to sleep in her own bed...i understood  and    I told her nicely...no cross words were spoken.

So  Christmas day....we spent apart.

She had mentioned   earlier that paincake came to her groc store  and talked to her the same day that i went with paincakes  neighbor shopping    last week and  she told  my daughter why she didn't want to go with us....she told us didn't want to walk...but what she told my daughter idk???   

Or did she bad mouth her friend  and I to my daughter?????My daughter was very quiet when she told me...not like herself

I will mention this to my "paincake sis"  and get her reaction...i might loose my cool  again with her like i did last time i went to eat with her  and her neighbor friend  last week....

she was bad mouthing my #2 son&his wife to me  and i blasted her..letting her know it wasn't any of her business what they do  or don't do!!!

ok...will get off my soap box now..but it felt good to vent  about her!!!😡😠

@cowboy sam : Family drama= like soap operas and never a dull moment.

I am so sorry that you had to be alone on Christmas day. I wish you could have been with us. I would have given you so many " to go boxes of food" . Plus red velvet cake, chocolate covered cherries, macadamia nut cookies ( if no nut allergies), lemon cake.

Well one thing for sure: Pain cake Sis : Determined to keep something  " stirring up".  Any more information on her car repairs.

I have a envelope filled with gift cards from several different people for Uber Eats, Walmart , Publix, Amazon.

DH gave me a larger label making machine. The key board is larger with black keys and white letters, numbers and symbols and this should be easier to read and use.Haven't tried it yet. We slept very late and I have been busy paying bills. Still very tired and sore plus it has been raining.

Please rest and give yourself a special treat. You need to build up your strength and energy for your next round with Pain cake Sis.🤗🤗🤗❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏

Aw, I'm sorry that your daughter felt slighted with the joint gift card.  I can see that if your daughter is having emotional problems that might make her feel bad about herself.  I guess your son doesn't realize this.☹️

Maybe with time when your daughter has calmed down about it you could go together and make a special point of buying what you want when you're both together.  It sounds like it was something that was more important to her than what anyone else realized.

Also sorry to hear that she didn't want to spend the night with you.  And I wonder if paincake sis said something to her that upset her also.  That sure doesn't help her situation at all.

Sheesh!  It's a good thing Christmas only comes once a year!
