@geezerette : Our weekend highs 100 with nights low of 77. I have ordered watermelon chunks and grapes, will be eating them cold. Love to put grapes in freezer for a few minutes and then eat cold.

Plugged up ears and ringing in the ears are so uncomfortable. Praying that will be better soon.❤🙏

rant #3

my boiler was shot back in late feb or early march so i had no heat

i didnt care bc i was in the middle of demo and i just cant think about boiler

i put on an extra sweatshirt - i still had hot water

since there is literally no construction besides wating for counter guy to come

perfect time to put in the boiler

and i had thousands of dollars burning in the bank with .00001 interest

order boiler friday prior to delivery for the following wed

when i paid for it - need it first thing in the morning - the trucks start loading 6am

hiring 4 guys to lift and heave boiler to basement - it weighs several hundred pounds then they will leave and just the one guy and brother to put it in

called tues afternoon to confirm - bc girl brain

yes - you are the first stop in the morning

guys came 7am - they took out the old boiler

called supply company 8:15am where is the boiler?

ma'am you are slotted for 10am delivery?

WHAT????  i called and confirmed - i have 4 guys that i'm paying standing around

my boiler is on 10am truck

i swear - this gurl brain tries her hardest to make sure things go smoothly and

i'm not mirco managing - just cross check just like i did when i was working

BTW - i did call the gas company again to confirm appt and asked what tel number do you have down for this appt - cuz u never know

At least you got your brother to fix rant #1.  He'll probably be expecting some fresh baked goodies in return when you get your kitchen finished.😉☺️

Rant #2 is about par for the course nowadays, but unfortunate that it came while you're having to deal with all the other hassles of your remodel.  It's wierd they're coming on a Sunday though.  And I hope they got the right phone number this time!

Hang in there and just keep in mind how nice it's all going to be when it's all done!🤩

sorry - i just had to get it off my chest

it was just a series of miscommuciation or non communication'

over the course of 1 week - 5 business days - it was exhausting

my garden is thriving - it makes me happy to see the tiny maters

string bean flowers (beanies are coming)  and the calla lillies

so many blackberries and raspberries

remember when i first got the 2 twigs - 

i was counting - oooh i got 8 berries or 5 berries

they are now established and hoping the birds or squirrels dont get to them first

took him to dinner

when brother helped put in boiler

took him to dinner

these dinners are adding up but i KNOW KNOW KNOW that w/o him

it would have been so much more difficult and more expensive
