i do not live in a brownstone - they are gorgeous though

yes - my kitchen is a very small space - i tried to be mindful when choosing

it will work for me - sure isn't like any of the HGTV shows where they all have 10 ft islands and all that counter space + walk i pantry

you will enjoy GOSLING in the fall guy - that's the way it should be presented

it is just fun

i know you have critters in your nexk of the woods = are you able to plant anything?

i love to see the plants thriving and emerging - teeny flowers with teeny maters

@Yahooey ...Your cozy kitchen is going to look just as lovely as any of those large kitchens on HGTV....I really don't care for large kitchens...many of them are overdone and wasted space...besides more cleaning to do which we definitely don't want...I do love walk-in-pantries...We had one in an apartment in a two family home before we bought our first home and, when we had our kitchen renovated, I asked the contractor if he could put one in but, due to property lines and regulations, I had to opt for a pantry cabinet instead where the shelves pulled out.

About the critters in our "neck of the woods"....We do have to be careful with even the types of flowers that we plant as the critters will munch on certain ones, so we have to be selective.

Remember an earlier post of mine where I mentioned that I was going to try a Tomato plant this year and put it on our small deck area?... I thought that maybe the critters wouldn't come up the stairs to the deck and bother it...Well, those little devils proved me wrong...It had healthy leaves on it and I was so excited waiting for my first cherry tomato to appear... Well, that never happened!!!...Those critters eventually  made their way to my tomato plant and started nibbling on the leaves and prepared to devour it.

All is not lost though...I love the various local Farmers Markets throughout the Summer months and knowing that everything is fresh, local grown and delicious!...I love Summer eating!  😋

Re: @Preds ❤️

[ Edited ]

@Yahooey : It's scheduled for Friday morning.

The nurse from my health insurance came today. She was very friendly but no other help or help with my doctor.

I asked about home help or any other help. She gave no options. She was writing everything down in a booklet to give to my doctor but didn't write that down. She believes the epidural will help. The two things she told me that I didn't know: blood test BNP will indicate the cause of water retention , and to dispose of any medications= put them in a gallon zip lock bag with water to melt and then pour in th yard grass( since it would be difficult for me to take to a local pharmacy ).

She suggested that I needed a cardiologist but will be difficult to get one since I don't have high blood pressure or cholesterol problems. She was impressed with my small about of RX. My A1C was 4.5 and blood pressure as 118\80. She said my only problems were obesity and back problems.

I will discuss things with my doctor but not taking that booklet with me. Oh well.

Next thing to do: Decide house cleaning. I have narrowed the list down to two companies.🤗❤🙏🙏

@Yahooey : Thank you. Doing a lot of prayer for friday.

I forgot the nurse gave me a cooler storage organizer for the car trunk. DH said that I can give it to my friend on Friday.

Any more information on your home improvements?

oh no - the mater was attacked by munching mouths

phooey

i'm a garden enabler

i gave a friend af few bush bean seeds and she is growing them in a pot

she is super excited - never gardened before

another friend got a tomato plant on her fire escape

the other residents can vacate but she is blocked by plants on the fire escape (she has quite a few) and her window has a lot also

kinda like those cozy mysteries - death by tomato - god forbid

back in the day when i was working

summer meant cute cresses, sandals and shoes and now...

perusing over secateurs - of course i bought 3 bc i needed free shipping

japanese made and sold in the UK -= go figure

and 2 soil knives - must get free ship

also known as hori hori knives - originated in japan

i used one where i have volunteered at a farm on governors island

it was sharp and i can dig out the weedy roots

no more black or green tools for this gurl - i need to spot them across my many acres

i know no one in my immediate circle understands about these tools or my passion for them - or the endless research

@Yahooey : Thanks. DH just said need to take a good shower tonight. He will scrub my back and legs,  then in the morning will wash me again. He is so good and takes care of what I can't reach. Last night , he cut all my toe nails. Didn't hurt and did a good job.
