@cowboy sam @geezerette : DH is always looking for his glasses . Many times his glasses are on the top of his head while walking around and looking for them.😁😁😁😀😀😀

  I understan what your saying  and  iagree..was skimpy on fillings and only tasted the few pecan on the pie.!..don't think i will order it again...oh..a very,very small scoop of vanilla ice cream came with it..2 bites and ice cream gone!

@Yahooey @cowboy sam : For me, the traditional Southern Pecan Pie recipe is too sweet and sticky. I always reduce the amount of sugar used and double the amount of pecans. Normally the top of the pecan pie is decorated with pecan halves, but for me, that makes the pie more difficult to cut and serve. I always use chopped pecans.Just me.

My mother used to make pecan tarts.  Similar pecan filling with a cream cheese crust.  She got the recipe from an old friend of hers from the south.  The first time my husband had them he went nuts.  He was a southern boy and had never had them.  Every year at Christmas those were the only baked goodies he requested.

Honestly, I never cared much for pecan pie.  I like pecans, but not that sweet filling.  I guess I didn't mind the tarts as much because there was more crust with them than with pie.  But then, I'm a Yankee!😆
