The married couple are taking me up on my invitation by buying a evening meal   for us"Thursday early evening " to a different place : a tavern/dining room with a salad bar  plus specials each night...think chicken/ribs then.

She called to confirm  minutes ago and then  she was going to call for reservations for us...as its a small place.

Yes,agree they are the nicest friends one can have as the married couple

its a small tavern nestled in corn fields  or now empty fields...

like farmers   like eat /drink..lol  so it doen't have many tables  plus small bar...lol

Wish you lived closer as i would invite you also

@cowboy sam   I  am also saddened by the news about Tyler Christopher but not surprised. It's another timely reminder we can't keep abusing our bodies and not expect that eventually we may have to pay. This evening I am going to look for the last message that I posted on a  GH thread when Mr. Christopher spent the day with Maurice Benard and his wife. I want to think at some point before the end Tyler found some peace My heart goes out to his young children.

I too was sorry to learn of the death of Tyler Christopher.

It's a shame he couldn't find the road to peace, and sobriety in his lifetime.

Very handsome man. I never watched him as Nikolas on GH because I was on a 20 year + hiatus. 😝 

But I did love him as Stefan O. DiMera on Days.

He was having big issues in the last several years and I hate to say it, but I kind of expected it would end this way if he  didn't clean up. 😢

got my fav from TJ yesterday - a stalk of brussels sprouts

ate some last night and for breakfast

3 slices of bacon - then i put the sprouts in

2 scrambled eggs and a slice of toast w honey butter YUM

i should get my lazy posterior out and do some walking

it is chilly but bright sunshine - will wear my hat and gloves

Busy making all my ingredients to make my dressing to put in the freezer for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I now have in the freezer enough collards and turnip greens for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.

Made two changes in my kitchen that has made a difference for me : added  three battery operated stick up lights above the kitchen sink. Have a large antifituge (sp) mat in front of the dishwasher because the above counter space is where I do my food prep. Turned around and ordered another small mat to go in the kitchen sink area and it will be delivered today.

I have done some cooking myself.

I had chopped meat that I forgot to freeze. I didn't want to let it go bad, and although it was a work night, and I had already prepared our meal for the night; I decide to start this other  task. I browned and seasoned the beef and put it in the fridge. 

Tomorrow I will continue the steps I need to complete making beef with cheese empanadas.

My DS and DIL love when I make them. They'll be over tomorrow.

Been up since 4:30  i thought it was later than it was...

.geeze !  we turn clocks back late tonight!

I was hungry for pinto bean soup and corn muffins and ordered them out at a Cracker Barrel place.  yesterday..but forgot that were side order with meals..so it didn't have the same taste as with cooked with a smoked ham hock  with meat that fell off the bone  or the skin!

I was with pancake and her neighbor yesterday....uh  she was backing out of her driveway...went over the berm and  backing up and was a few inches from tree in her front yard!

Her neighbor if she  had opened her window in back seat she could have touched it! The car and tree were ok 

Pancake sis uttered a f word..seeing.what she had done.!..

then got upset that  neighbors  adult  son  who  was mowing his moms yard across the street had seen what she had done!

I walked with neighbor before dark  and stopped at a estate sale nearby.  both owners had died within the past year  and  the 2 sons were trying to sell car parts,etc in garage...uh i was in garage and then we went into older house...and i had to go back outside  as both had such a musty,moldy smelly and my allergies kicked in!

@Yahooey ...neighbor saw a basket  full with knitting needles in it...   she offered $5.00 for them and they took her offer! Might have been 12 needles she bought.

I asked her what they were...? she  told me doesn't know how to knit but would like to learn...i advised her to check out videos on Utube.

No wonder you were up early--it sounds like you have had quite the adventures!

It's a good thing you're still alive and well after Pancake's driving and allergies from the estate sale!😳😵🤧
