@cowboy sam : Currently 98. Friends sister had today a small stroke. They gave her blood thinners to prevent blood clots. Both sisters were able to do a video chat.

Haven't accomplished much today. Busy praying and doing texts.Scary to think how fast your health can change. Everyone needs a medical directive and power of attorney made for emergency.

Good morning Friends,

I think I'll tackle my laundry today...if I get up the courage.

I always say this because; I have to take my laundry down to the laundry room in our building.

Some days there's so much drama and discourse down there.

I don't want to get involved in it.

It's like they run to the dryers and try to claim them prematurely, meanwhile yours has already stopped and they're blocking you from putting your load in on time!

That's just one issue.  The gossiping is another! And they do it loudly and proudly!

The other is that people sometimes can't MTOB!

They won't look at you while their traveling around the building, won't hold a door, but let you know how rude you are when you do it too them.

All of a sudden, down there, they become "know it alls". They tell you how, where, when, and what water temp you should be using, and not to clear the lint traps out while they're in the room.

If  they leave the room and don't come back, Heaven forbid you remove their clothing because you need a machine, they go berserk...unless they do this to you! The rules state this can be done.
 It's unbelievable.

I have had several verbal battles down there. I don't start any, but sure as he ll  😈 will finish one!

Also, I notice that the women in the laundry room, take advantage of the men...meaning they tend to do the aggressive jumping in front of them more,  telling them in advance that they will be using certain dryers as soon as their washer is done, and the men don't protest and buckle because, I guess they're afraid to look like they're fighting with woman. ( it is a bad look 😂). They do this on purpose to them.

That's why I always go down, because if my husband does, he'll let all the biddies get in front of him and be down there for longer than necessary. 😝

Oh my 😱 I just became exhausted and hyper writing about this 😝 Maybe I'll put it off! HAHAHA!

@Mj12  I am hoping your procedure goes well next week and for a quick bounce back! 🤗

You are so funny, @KBEANS! 🤣  You reminded me ("put me in mind of" as my kinfolk would say) of my early days in college and my first marriage when we had to trek to a local laundromat.  Usually tried to get there as soon as they opened in the wee hours of the morning to avoid so much drama!  I sure don't miss it, but now that I think of it those visits are great fodder and inspiration for a fiction (or real life) author!   You  are an author...  love the way you write.🤗

as you know - i flew in and landed technically tues morning 12amish

and posted to all my preds friends at 2ish in the morning

it is now after 130pm - just had cawfee - no movement

have NOT checked the garden -

have NOT done laundry

got my delivery from chewy - yay

my niece worked very hard adjacent to the food scene which she clearly loves

her friends are in the food industry or food adjacent or just food enthusiasts

they scour the planet for food - when they travel

reservations are made - if you cant get in - maybe a food chef friend can call

they all know or heard of - or read up on - what is the happening places to dine

they follow, post  and swoon over the presentation

i'm not like that - i dont travel like that

i sight see - i may have a decent meal or 2

this is next level -

i'm grateful that she invited me to go with her (my first time)

have a peek in her world (island doesnt count from last year since that was a BD)

she said upfront - i'm inviting you as my guest

you dont have to pay for anything

i said - i will pay for the small stuff

so i got the uber rides - the ice cream - donuts - stuff like that

breakfast was included with the hotel room

she picked up some items to purchase and i took out my cc as a thank you

she said NO - i said my pleasure

she has pancake as her mom

she is NOT like pancake

it is hard for her when you see other daughters and moms bonding

it is hurtful - but i want her to know i'm there for her

i tell her constantly how proud i am of her

how kind she is to me and her friends

if she wasnt kind - no friend would drive you blueberry picking and our day excursion to Hama Hama - the other friend wouldnt pack up the blueberries - freeze them and ship them - i have to pick them up when they arrive - gonna have to google recipes

in 2 weeks - she is taking my younger niece - i only have 2 nieces

where?  to see Taylor and there is only 1 Taylor in Mexico City

she wanted intl food so no Taylor in the states and Mexico was the closest

it is uber expensive tix like all the tix are and my young niece will pay what she can

bc that was said upfront - older niece will pu rest of tab - air hotel food

young one has always watched her kitteh when she traveled the world

the kitteh passed earlier this year

so this is her way of thanking her for all the years of kitteh sitting

- they are both beyond excited

i'm so happy for them - i hope they have the bestest time

❤️ 💕 💜 for reading my adventure

i hope you dont think i was showing off -but I never ever ate like this

i just wanted to share - since i dont post anywhere else - instgram etc

i hardly took any pics - all food pics were air dropped to me daily

they were framed and color corrected - mine would have been too dark or too bright and out of focus

Oh, my goodness, you're not "showing off" dear friend!

You took the time and made a significant effort not only to capture these glorious memories -- and likely the sounds, scents, tastes, warmth and emotions -- to celebrate your family and friends and also to let us be a part of this fabulous excursion!  Your nieces are treasures, and I can tell they reflect the wonderfulness that is Yahooey!

(my dictionary says "Yahooey = wonderfulness")

Thank you, so much, for sharing.🥰

@Yahooey  IDK it sounds complicated. 😝 I am on an iPad and always have an issue.

Anyway we are going to Cape Ann MA.
We are leaving on Friday and staying a week.

If I can, I'll post pix. If not... I'll describe! hahahaha 😉

If you need help, give a shout @KBEANS.  Soneone here will take you through the steps.   I use a Mac and and iPad (occasionally, though rarely, my iPhone) for pix.  Once you get the hang of it, it's easy as can be!😊

@Mj12 , wow! They are still doing tests on you? When did you faint again? December? I forgot.

@loveschocolate  In March. I've had a ton of tests, now something was recently found so that involved new doctors/specialists, and next week I'm having a brain angiogram to decide how best to proceed. 🤞🏻  It will all be fine. 🙏

ETA - not trying to be cryptic. I have a brain aneurysm but they found it before any damage was done. I am so, so grateful they found it.

@Mj12 , I am grateful for you as well! Scary stuff! Please keep us posted! ❤️

(((love))) to you, dear @Mj12.  I, too, am grateful for you. 🙏 ❤️

Hi yourself lady!!!   So nice to see on here.  I totally missed a day on line yesterday.  Got busy crocheting and the whole day just whizzed by.

Have to admit, don't see much news on t.v. anymore, am practically not checking anything on Face Book...that got boring.

So...wee why I'm crocheting more?  LOL

But yes the fresh air is great and I think I even noticed a few red leaves yesterday.  Can it be that time already?  We lost a lot of limbs to ice last year and the tree I always check on for leaf color changing, is getting limited.

It's a cool 53 here today, and we got lots of rain yesterday, so everything is very green.

You have a great day now, and so good to see you as always!

I'm late in doing so, but I want to say "thank you!" to you, @qualitygal!

As soon as I read about your fresh air, thinking of better temperatures and open windows, that very night we had low 60s and a cool breeze, and it was wonderful while it lasted (not long, but welcome even so!).

I credit your magic, so thank you for sending it my way!😊

Autumn is my absolute favorite time of year, so I'm really looking forward to it!😊

I cook everything from scratch, tonight I made spaghetti, and the tomato sauce is a salt free can of tomato sauce, in which I add all my fresh herbs, basil, parsley, oregano, etc. and some hot sauce, with the browned hamburger, and it's really delicious on the spaghetti noodles.  I also love making my hotdishes similar with whole wheat macraoni.  I also have a great hamburger soup recipe that I love making.

Hello doobdoo!!  so nice seeing you again!

Hello, @gloriajean !  Thank you!
