@geezerette : Yep. Sad but true. She has been good to me. More frequently comments from her about my weight and what I am not doing,  telling me that I don't need to spend money for new carpet because what I have isn't really too bad ( but it has discoloration from blinds open, ridges etc), just a few examples. Yet she is so busy with other stuff we haven't walked in two weeks. She told our preacher that she provides transportation and help for me to walk with them several days at the church gym. Preacher mentioned to me last Sunday that I was trying to walk with the walker in the gym and a loyal friend to help. DH said the look on my face should have made the preacher ask more questions. Plus our other friend: turned down offer from another church member to split the cost of a gym membership special to have a treadmill to use because of loyalty to the widow. This other friend was told by her doctor to walk at least 4 days a week to help improve her lungs. We are all humans and make mistakes but not a good friend to make promises and not keep them. Rant over.😀

Hello Y'all: Me tired. Busy cleaning the oven and cook top. Will finish the grates for the cook top tomorrow morning. I tried something different called " The Pink Stuff " cause I read about it on one of the forums. It worked for me and I like it. My oven has the self cleaning option but don't want to use it in hot weather.

I hope y'all had something more exciting to do today.😀🤗

@Yahooey : Thank you but I have tried. When she told me not to purchase carpet. I replied : Seriously , I can't believe you said that.I know you wouldn't have old carpet in your house. She replied: I am one year older than you and it is my responsibility to help you. I told her that I have a small savings account that I put any extra money in for household needs. She said my house was basic and was ok like it is. I replied: You have mentioned several times that your house value of $229,000 and your street includes doctors and lawyers but your uncle lives three doors up from me !!! Would you be telling your uncle the same thing? She replied that his house is more expensive than mine and he has done an excellent job with keeping it look modern and new. I replied that was what I was trying to do in my house.I  told her that she wasn't helping but was hurting my feelings. She said that I don't appreciate her help.😮

Then if she says something about my weight : I reply that is why I need to be included in the walking and more days and also when they use her daughter's swimming pool to do exercise. Plus , I mention that since she retired she has been gaining weight and she should practice what she preaches . I try to respond   to show what she saying doesn't  help. I don't agree with everything she says . She really trys to influence us to follow what she does. Whenever we go out to eat she will read the menu to us and explain what she is ordering and state it is very good and we need to order the same thing. I have responded: So you are paying for everyone's meal and I will honor your requests but If I am paying for my meal: I will order what I prefer. She still continues to do this and I always order what I prefer but the other friend will order whatever she suggested.😮

went knitting at the park yesterday - 

my friend opted out bc she was afraid of the heat - was supposed to be 90

i dont like the heat - but there was a cool breeze and i sat under the umbrella as well as the tree canopy - it was nice

the white one is what i started - they let me take some yarn to make scarves

i will decide which one i want to use and return the other ball

to recap - making easy garter stitch for the beginner knitter for those in need

they distribute around valentines day in the pary - it is on branche and on chairs

just take one if you want one

the rainbow yarn is thinner which means it will take a lot longer to make anything

so i'm leaning towards the brown - it will go faster- thoughts?

the one i will be making on my own can be any design - since it will stay with me

the one i leave at the park - so anyone can pick it up and continue the simple pattern

the event started a few weeks ago and yesterday was my first venture

going to swim today

been harvesting a lot of string beans - about 6-8 oz a day

i started throwing the more perfect ones into a bag in a freezer - no blanching

by perfect - i mean straight and not wonky - curling or bent 

after eating string beans daily - about a week 

will be offering them to friends - including - gasp pancake

i met her on the streets late May - she said the birds pecked and took out her string bean seedlings and she was trying again in June - so dont know the current status

black berries are beginning to turn - jam jam jam on the brain

will be giving some away - dont have a lot - but the raspberry jam was so tasty

been saving every last raspberry in the freezer - it isn't as abundant as 2 weeks ago but i'm hoping to hit 1 lb - got 12 ounces so far (used 8 ounces of fruit last time_)

so.... when young niece visits - planning to make nekkid cake and spread jam on it

i know you have to rely on others to get around and i'm so sorry that she is being a PANCAKE - A DARN FLUFFY THICK STACK OF PANCAKES

So sad but true. I decided it's best to respond as soon as she said something. But it is still frustrating.

One day in the church gym she said something that I didn't like or agree with. My response: I pray about everything and read my Bible .I walked ahead of her and started singing along with the music. I can't sing but

I was making a joyful noise.
