@cowboy sam ...Yes, I noticed that you posted really early this morning...I hope that you were able to go back to sleep...It is good to see your post...Preds' friends have been so quiet lately...I miss how active these forums used to be...so many great posters and various  topics that we were able to discuss and so enjoyable and fun...It seems that these forums are slowly fading off into the sunset...I hope not!

Delivery date from Pottery Barn is scheduled for Thursday...The vanity stool is a perfect size for our second bathroom to be placed near our tub/shower area...It will be a really nice and useful finishing touch.

The throw pillows are for a spare room which I consider my retreat area...lol...It's a small cozy room with a loveseat, chair, end table, desk and TV...I bought two lumbar size pillows but will just use one at a time on the loveseat and interchange with each other for a different look...I fell in love with the heart pillow so that will just add a really cute whimsical touch on our chair....I wanted it in the Soft Pink but that color is no longer available, so I got the Ivory.

Our painter is coming Thursday to get started on our second bathroom and our bedroom so I need to get those rooms ready.

Enjoy your day today!...I read where you will be getting together with your sisters again so you will have to let us know all about it!

gee i posted - no one else posted - maybe i should wait alwhile

some have moved away from this thread and i wished they would come back

news from the farm

i have been eating 1 sugar snap bean each day for the past 2 days -

cuz i ate only 2 LOL

not really lot to make a meal - but i like just taking one during the morning walk thru

they are now producing after sowing them in the ground March - they are cool weather crops and will die back when the heat hits - so it is a treat - the flower is so cute and the bean even cuter and purdy

green onion or scallions are blooming

bought a bunch a while ago from the supermarket

since they come in bunches - ate some and planted the rest

i have plucked one and pulled the flowers to put on top of my egg salad sandwich

it tastes mild oniony

blackberries are always cute

Screenshot 2023-06-13 at 11.24.52 AM.png

raspberries ... mmmm......plus they are thorny and i didnt know the type i bought have hidious pointy thorns - i went berry pcking and they were swarmed with bees but no thorns - i would have remembered - ..... now i know there are thornless varietieis

idk if there are taste differences.... i had to buy a pair of lether gloves to remove the branches when they die- they grow new stalks every year - kinda like preds peonies

Hi everyone, I'm a house plant lover and at some points in my life I've had over 100 at a time. But.......right nowon my kitchen window sill I'm sprouting bok choy and green onions. That's the extent of my gardening LOL.

Good afternoon y'all. We didn't go to church Sunday cause DH had tummy issues. I made a big pot of vegetable beef soup and corn bread.  I had a big bottle of tomato juice and decided to use that in my soup instead of a large can of tomato sauce. I really liked the difference in taste.

While the soup was simmering decided to use the cubi and watch tv. I was on the cubi  for one hour.

Monday went with friends to walk in the church gym. I was able to walk 4 laps. Went walking again today and walked 4 1/2 laps.  They wanted to eat at Zaxby's. I was hungry  and wanted something besides salad because have been eating salads for lunch for several days. I ordered the combo plate of chicken tenders and boneless wings and ordered the wimpy ( mild sauce but to me was a little spicy), small glass of half sweet and unsweet tea. I only ate 1/2 of the French fries and didn't eat the toast. I have 3 chicken tenders and 1 wing to eat for lunch tomorrow. DH feeling much better. Thank goodness.

Widow friend mentioned that her and my other friend are walking 5 days a week but she will only be picking me up for two days a week but didn't indicate what days but she would text me. I have tried to give her gas money and buy her lunch but she refuses.  It takes 15 minutes for her to travel from her house to mine and from my house to the church is 8 minutes. I really appreciate the opportunity to walk two days a week and really understand it is a lot of trouble to fold my walker and putting it in the car and taking it out. Just wish I could do at least  3 days a week. I will do more exercise at home. Thanks for letting me rant. I really try not to sound ungrateful and appreciate anything that anyone does for me.😊🤗❤

@Yahooey ...You have a very good memory...No, my "Quacker" family haven't arrived yet...I received an email from Plow & Hearth and the "Quackers" expected arrival date is now around August 8th...It appears that it is taking Mama a little longer to convince her ducklings to take flight...lol..They are definitely worth the wait.

Those are impressive pictures of your vegetable garden of which I know absolutely nothing...Are you actually able to plant a whole onion/scallion and end up with new plants?... You mentioned that you had bought some at the store and took a couple and planted them.

I'm having a terrible time with my computer this evening and I'm ready to just shut it down...It's been acting up off and on throughout the week...It took me forever to get this posted to you.

It's so good to see you!...I feel the same way as you shared...I miss our Preds' Friends...These forums have really slowed down quite a bit and it's the only social media site that I belong to, so I would really miss it.

Okay, I'm going to put this computer to bed now and, hopefully, in the morning, it will be up and running smoothly...Xfinity has done some updates lately and they always seem to throw things off one way or another.

Have a good evening! Heart

@JaneMarple ...Wow...100 indoor plants!...That's amazing!....I'm impressed that you are sprouting bok choy and green onions on your kitchen window sill.

The extent of my gardening skills is getting some parsley or another herb, already sprouted in a small pot, and sitting it on my kitchen window sill...LOL

or
