Some garden pictures. My husband put down straw as he read it should stop the weeds. As you can see, it increased the weeds and needs to be removed now.

@Mj12 ...Awww...lol...Well, she is the most adorable "hot mess" that I have ever seen!  

Eta:  Your vegetable gardens are so neat...I'm surprised that the straw mulch didn't help with the weeds, although I don't know very much else about vegetable gardening...I wonder if regular mulch would work better?

i heard putting down something keeps the weeds at bay

i just google and yes straw helps deter weeds and retain mositure

maybe 2 feet of straw - 😂

im having difficulties germinating my eggplant and i refuse to buy a plant

cuz i'm stubborn that way - birds are ripping some of my string bean heads off

@Mj12 , thank you ☺️. We were blessed when we found this place. When we first put in an offer and was turned down and didn't hear anything for a couple months I thought it just wasn't meant to be. Then the surprise phone call and everything fell into place.

my first time blooming of this variety preds peony is saying good evening

it was still closed this morning i guess she is ready to party at night

it is supposed to change colors as days go by -

Yaaas...  I've been peeking in, catching up on what all you lovelies are doing!

I've been feeling rotten, some of it related to my depression, so each time I logged in and hearted some posts I didn't add my own comments because I didn't want to bring any dark clouds here. 

I think most of you know that depression has been a formidable challenge to me for a good many years.  I have to keep on top of it when I feel it creeping back into my spirit and soul.

Starting to feel a wee bit better, so I wanted to do some more reading, hearting!❤️❤️❤️, and check in with everyone.
