2 of my 4 kids laughed at me for last 2-3 years asking for" spring drinking water"...the gallon size ones...!Smiley Sad  they wanted to take me to lunch and buy me a gift  instead!

but one son  did listen and sent me 12 big bottles of a brand name  spring water co. via AmazonSmiley Very Happy

I gave up and started buy individual flavored drink mixes to put into a glass/bottle of my city drinking water!

I ordered Skittles brand from Amazon...or pick up small boxes of 10 ea, at Dollar General or order Walmarts brand online.

@Yahooey  told me say that I also love the color of your dd new mixerHeart

My mission today is to hunt down a missing ring  i missplaced last year that i searched high and low for without finding it!

I have a paper shredder near a counter that i sometimes put my rings on fpr a few min. when i put hand lotion on.....  thought maybe i knocked it off counter into back of shredder.so i carefully sifted through a full basket of shredded paper ...uh...nope   not  in there.!  hmm??

Now where to look?I have checked all my jean pockets,  also in pockets of robes, jackets, etc.

@cowboy sam : Totally agree and understand. We buy bottle water by the case from Sams . I am struggling with trying to drink water so I probably need to try the flavored drink mixes.

DD so excited about the mixer. That was the color that I wanted for my bowl lift mixer but the color sold out and got black instead. The price on the mixers has really increased.

Sent DD email yesterday with photos of basic baking necessities. I told her for future gift ideas or just a surprise gift. She replied that she needed everything. Talked with DH because a lot of the items had very good prices for Mother's day like the Wilton  non stick baking pans and the Sterlite Cake carrier. We ordered them for her. The first package ( all Amazon purchases to send UPS)will be the cake carrier to be delivered on Saturday and the other one on Sunday. When she emails me about the cake carrier will tell her that this is a motivation gift for her to use the mixer and fill the cake plate . The grand kids will probably agree.🤗❤😃

I look small hand fulls of shredded paper out of the bin  and no ring!

So i am checking out a few other places.

Daughter called me and asked me if i wanted to go with her tomorrow(Saturday)  my choice of direction for different towns  to shop at.

So,we will finally exchange Christmas gifts....told me reason that she hadn't been over was she had  car problems!... a smoking car!

The radiator needed replaced  and that was done last week!

She wanted to save up her money to pay for it herself...didn't  want to tell me as she didn't want me to give her the money to fix it!

@SouthernBee

a great gift would be parchment paper

i used to buy them at the supermarket - not a lot of yardage for $$$

found it at BJ or Costco for a fraction and the roll goes on forever

i just looked it up - 15.00 for a 2 pack 15" x 164 ft = it takes me a while to use it up

maybe that is a bit much lol

vanilla - also pricy item

for the past few years - i found the Nielsen Massey brand at home goods or TJ Maxx

i stock up - still not cheap but it is good

she is luck to have u

such wonderful gifts - this will encourage her when items are at hand

I have often asked for "practical" gifts when people ask me what I want for some special occasion, and they usually never get what I want.  I think they want to buy what they think is a present and don't care if I never use it or don't even like what they give me.  They just want to buy fun things!😠

I finally broke down and invested in a Brita water filter pitcher.  The Walmart spring water just got too expensive to keep buying the gallons.  I was skeptical because my tap water really has a lot of chlorine in it, but it works great!  The water has no chemical taste at all.  I got the smaller 6 cup pitcher and have to fill it up a few times a day, but I don't mind that and it's small enough for me to handle easily.  And I don't have to lug those jugs or recycle them anymore!👍

@SouthernBee , your DD is going to have a lot of baking in her future with all the new goodies you're sending her! 😉

@cowboy sam , I hope you can find your ring.  I'm always losing my glasses.  Probably because I need them to see where they are! 😂

@Yahooey : Great suggestions. I have spent all my extra  my spending money on DD. .  Next pay day will send big grocery order with Kroger in her city for delivery.

Yesterday, tried to place Walmart delivery order and some items changed to shipping and they use FedEx.... No way. I wanted to do the parchment paper, Bakers Joy , Hershey's coco powder, powdered sugar , tea and sugar for things in the recipe book.

@geezerette : Totally agree and understand. Plus my practical gifts were less expensive than what they gave me that went directly to the donation box. I have begged them to please stop all gift exchanges. I don't need stuff. No more storage or display space plus don't want extra stuff to dust and clean.
