  My peonies are next to a building behind my garage...they had gotten taller since i last viewed them.yes...all in same spot but spreading a tad.

They have buds but some taller leaves look shriveled  like dandelion leaves! and had buds and a few black ants were seen. But the ones closer to the ground was nice and broad and shiny green!

This afternoon:

I took a old cotton sheet and loosely covered them as we might have frost again tonight.

Then i trimmed a bridal wreath tree way back, it took two loads of branches,twigs,etc to my burn pile!

I am now done and into my cotton long jammies and need to pour me a glass of coke cola  and??

I ordered 6 boxes of 8each in  a box of nonni's plain  orginal /almonds biscotti

and

6 boxes w/8 in ea. box of the cicoccoti..lol type of chocolate biscotti..

yesterday and to be shipped by FedEx  and delivered Wednesday!

remember my tulips - they didnt fare well in the heat

a few of them were late blooming tulips 

so they opened when the heat drama was over

they are still looking good and wondering where all their friends went 🤣

@cowboy sam : All of your biscotti sound delicious. I still have some in the freezer. I placed our Sam's order this afternoon to be delivered tomorrow morning. I decided to try something different and ordered the variety box of Danish pastries. Last order was the large muffins and the pastries are 150 less calories. I loved the muffins but for me the banana nut muffin had a very strong fake banana taste. I haven't felt good and no energy to make my own  muffins/ cupcakes to put in the freezer.

@Yahooey @cowboy sam ...The two adorable "kittehs" that I posted pics of were adopted within that same week...They weren't adopted together as they were in separate rescue shelters.

We decided to get our interior painting work out of the way first and we also want to take a couple of trips during the Summer and Fall, so it will be better to wait until things are more settled and there will be no disruptions for our new family member(s). 

By the way @Yahooey, I love your "large predator" in the yard.

@cowboy sam ...We are just having the rest of the rooms in our home painted...The painter did a couple of rooms last November and I decided that the rest of the rooms could use a freshening up also...We have an open floor plan, so the kitchen, dining room and living room are open to each other, so that will be really the biggest job.

Our trips that we have planned aren't exactly exotic trips...LOL...We just haven't taken a trip since Covid, so we decided to head on down to Virginia Beach in June, before it gets too hot, because I have to be careful with the Sun due to my fair Irish skin...Then, around September, we are heading up to a very favorite place of ours...the beautiful State of Maine...We stay at Perkins Cove in Ogunquit....gorgeous coastline and such a  lovely area...and we will browse around other areas from there....Looking so forward to it!

So this is why we decided to wait to rescue another kittie(s)....after everything is more settled and there are no disruptions for them while they become adjusted to us and their new home and we get to know each other...They will fill the void and be the "completeness" of our home, in memory of my Shadow!

I think my DIL is heading home today.  It depends, we took her car into the repair shop because it sounded terrible.  If her car is ready this morning, she'll head home.  If it isn't ready, then probably tomorrow.  Boo!  I'm going to miss her so much.

@Mj12 ...How wonderful that you have such a loving, healthy relationship with your DIL...Let's hope that her car will take another couple of days to repair...lol... so that you both will have more time to enjoy together!
