dear preds and friends

Yesterday had a email from Amazon letting me know that my gift to Curt was going to be delivered Saturday instead of Monday!!!

This morning i checked delivery and it was being delivered today -Friday to Curt today! So i sent him a text that a package for him was to be delivered today...it was in his town and out for delivery!

2day delivery!

He called me later and said reg. mail person delivered it instead of Amazon...where i ordered it from..he loved my 2 gifts to him.

That was fast delivery to him in Mo.!

Nothing going on...very overcast..a bit of rain and a few snowflakes...didn't last long!

@JaneMarple : DH went out to eat lunch yesterday and I got busy. I inch by inch slowly moved the dresser to the opposite wall. That made a big difference in the room. Then set down and looked around to see what else to do. Ugh. The closet is stuffed and the door can't be closed. This really makes the room look bad but will do the closet last.

It's amazing how each room has a waste basket that is over flowing  but a lot of garbage is still in the room. On top of several surfaces are empty Kleenex boxes water bottles etc whatever just don't understand. Stacked on top of the tv stand DVD individual disk of various tv series. I don't have time to sort, label and organize. I went on line to order a grey storage box to put everything in and stack behind the door. I will reorganize that later. Stacks of books on each side of his recliner. No where to put another book case in that room.I will stack them on top of the dresser. Behind the tv stand was grocery bags of his stash of chips and cookies.😀 I can enjoy some when I take a break.😁😁😁. I will put them in a basket and place the basket on storage bin behind the door. Dread seeing all the dusting and cleaning that I need to do.

after my own purging - i just dont want stuff

i lug a whole large tote container of my photos still in the envelopes it came back from the kodak processing plant - decades worth

some are in albums but most are in these hundred (s) of envelopes

i have no interest in sorting them or putting in albums

might just lug it to the basement -

at least digital photos - i can scroll easier to remember a particular vacation or holiday  etc

these photos and negatives - OY!

a few years ago - i got rid of all my mixed tape cassettes (remember walkman) and all my vinyl records - i spent many many hours enjoying the music

also rid all the VHS and kept the DVDs - i didnt buy a lot so maybe 10 in total

just feel lighter with less

good luck with the cleaning and organizing

hard to persuade someone who wants to hold onto stuff

my mom held onto stuff - she grew up poor and didnt have anything

she never spent money - even was upset with us when we spent money on her

when pancake didnt want a pot or pan - table etc

she might take it - probably didnt use it but put it in the basement  - just in case

EAT ANY SNACK YOU WANT - it is a tough job!!!

dear preds and friends

Will go and visit with Curt's wife and their 2 daughters today...at oldest grandaughters house this afternoon.

She came up from Mo. Wednesday to visit her aunt  for the last time  who is in hospice. Her aunt might not live very long now.

.She.called me and wants to visit with me and her daughters before she goes back home to Curt  tomorrow. (Saturday.)

I'm suffering from S.A.D.this week...too many overcast days!

Happy Saturday Everyone!...I've been having a difficult time logging in this past week but things seem to be cleared up now...so I'm catching up with all of you the best I can....Busy week and looking forward to a relaxing weekend, although I've spent most of today finishing up on donations for The Salvation Army and some housework...always something to do!

Ooooh...Look...Spaghetti for dinner!  LOL
