@Yahooey : Currently 50 and raining and will continue. I am cold and Monday and Tuesday low will be 39. Sales are good now but also selling out of some items. Had grocery order for daughter and kids to be delivered last night and at 5:3O getting emails of items not available. They wanted the Jolly Rancher lollipops and variety pack of the 4 flavor pringles. Amazon had the lollipops but not delivered until Tuesday or Wednesday. Found the Pringles at Kroger and will be delivered Tuesday afternoon. Just trying to supply them with extra treats this weekend and Tuesday. Normally they don't have a lot of treats or soda. Surprised them with a 24 pack of cola. DH and I remember growing up and not having a lot of stuff.

Really good prices on your meats and chips.

Last night after all that searching for stuff-  had chocolate craving and consumed hand full of m & m's.

@SouthernBee

i didnt have a lot of candy as a kid either

we would get a piece of candy after consuming icky meds

and soda was a treat - never went  trick or treating

i went as an adult following my younger niece and nephew around the neighborhood

i bought a mask - it had feathers - maybe i was an owl?

that's okay - i appreciated everything and of course was jealous of classmates that had more - but i think that made me a better adult

@cowboy sam : I totally  understand and still praying you will find everything.

I am really trying to cut back on the calories and eat less. Tuesday will be a challenge and DH wants me to bake a cake but only doing one loaf pan.

@cowboy sam : DH went around the neighborhood growing up and collecting bottles and the neighborhood grocery would give him 5 cents for each bottle. Then DH trying to purchase soda and candy for him and siblings and the man always gave a few extra pieces. He paid DH to keep the store front and side walks clean.

My uncle owned the corner grocery store and always gave me extra treats.

I was a weird kid that never liked pop (soda).  So I didn't miss not having it around the house all the time.  And when we did have it, it was the store brand.  I can't remember ever having a name brand soda pop.  Or name brand anything, for that matter.  The store brands were "just as good".

We mostly got candy at Christmas, Halloween, and some at Easter.  I remember my father always ate the hard candy that was left after us kids polished off the chocolate.☺️  My mother did bake often because my dad had a sweet tooth--thank goodness!😆

And I had to eat all my dinner before I was allowed to have any type of dessert.  Since this was long before microwaves, I still have nightmares of eating cold peas and mashed potatoes at the table all by myself.😩😛
