I'm ready for Spring lol.

@Mj12

Same.  But we have a long way to go still

How did your crochet projects turn out?  I saw those crochet kits on Shark Tank!

@Bri369  My DIL LOVED her kit and was crocheting over Xmas. I haven't opened mine yet. I'm procrastinating but plan to open it soon!

Good  Morning Y'all: Yesterday was a very long day. Go Dawgs. Friend came to clean house and we replaced all the batteries for the Simple Safe security system so it is working without any issues.

At 5 p.m no contact from refrigerator guy. I thought maybe he misunderstood me and called him. No return call so I put my nightgown on , disappointed but preparing for the Georgia game. He called at 6:30 stated he was still working and would be at my house . His current service call had 3 appliances to repair. He arrive at 7 and stated he has been working 10 hour days. He was glad that I had the big tv on because he wanted to watch the game and hoped he would be home to watch it. He pulled the fridge out and took the back off and called GE. He explained second service call since December and he wanted everything checked out. Ten minutes later - results not good. It's the electronic board and replacement part $460 plus $340 for service call and labor to install.😮😮. He said he preferred not to advise me what to do: part could work and solve problem or go bad. He stated he could not recommend a certain brand because all of them has issues. He explained why he said not to purchase another side by side: more bells and whistles more service issues. He said definitely no LG products because one customer had two LG appliances and he worked with her and LG for 6 months trying to convince them to declare both detective and still under warranty.  Before he left told him to leave the loud fridge unplugged. We put towels on the floor to soak up any drainage. So this started in October  with $300 in service fees and not including the cost of food and aggravation. Today : I will remain comfortable in my warm long nightgown with pen and a lot of paper will be viewing a lot of videos and reviews( but also doing this while waiting yesterday ). Probably just need to write two brand names on a slip of paper then toss in a bowl and select one. So far: Home Depot has the best prices but including haul away fees and extended warranty looking at $1000. The local Mom and Pop appliance place the prices were $200 higher. I also checked Lowes and Best Buy. It will be a freezer top refrigerator with no ice maker.

Wonderful last night not hearing a loud fridge all night. So probably out shopping on Wednesday.

Sorry about the fridge.  All those service calls and no one could figure out what the problem was.  That's terrible.

Hopefully you can find something and get it delivered soon!

@Bri369 @Yahooey : Big mess in kitchen floor . Towels didn't absorb all the water. Moved fridge out and mop up excess and put towels to dry. Sticker inside fridge next to serial number said assembled in Mexico.

YouTube video with appliance guy said look for what's made in America and there are some made in America. He said we have higher standards for parts and the computer boards and Mexico is very bad. I checked my microwave and assembled in China. Couldn't read what was on the wall oven and will try to take a photo later. Later will try to Google the stove top serial number. Let the fun begin. Making more coffee.
