Good Morning Y'all. Didn't do laundry last week and stated yesterday and more today. Feels like the laundry basket keeps refilling instead of empty.

Having a really hard time finding DH Christmas gifts. All of the shoes had to be returned.

Package delivery is slowing down and travelling in the wrong direction. One gift that I ordered was shipped from Florida, travelled several cities in Georgia  except my city then went to Kentucky🙄🙄🙄.

What are y'all doing for today and the weekend?🍞🍞🍞☕☕☕🍰🍰🍫🍫🍫🍳🍳🍕🍕🍩🍩🍩

just sitting and dinking..... cookies.... what kinds.... how many???

when I worked - i made a lot in qty and variety... now... it is just for a mere few and not an office... still i keep thinking... i want more cookies...

i bought pecans, macadamia - already have almonds and walnuts on hand

got another 4 sticks of butter to add to my arsenal

people who dont bake just dont understand - especially since butter no longer goes on sale as years past - it is a pricy item -

i have a cookie swap - need 4 dozen of 1 kind next sunday

all the other cookies are just for sharing... or me eating in the dark

where calories dont count - everyone knows dat!!!

@Yahooey : The price of butter and eggs. My stock pile of butter was in the big freezer but my stock pile of eggs were in the refrigerator and made me physically sick to trash them. Plus not able to start baking without the extra freezer space. I had planned to start baking this week but it has been cloudy and raining and the last two days very hot.I need to make two pound cakes to put in the freezer for gifts. I will be baking less this year.

@Yahooey

I once apon a time when my 4 kids were growing up made home cookies and

my   making  my own frosting with powered sugar, margerine, vanilla and a bit of canned milk  until i found recipe using

Crisco lard in a can,and powedered sugar, vanilla and maybe some milk? and whip it up until nice and fluffy...heck with cookies i loved to just eat it...lol!

me is sitting in the dark with small artifical  Christmas tree with lightson at 4am....

wishing i had some  home made "fudge"   without nuts and    made with  Hershey cocoa!Mix coco, sugar and   vanilla flavoring  and? bring to a boil

and wait until it made a small ball, pour onto platter,or pan .

No marshmellow creme  or nuts in it!

Recipie was on the can of hershes cocoa!

My mom would put it on a platter and put it outside in "cold" weather   on our porch to set in the winter...then later  eat...yummy sooooo good.Smiley Very Happy

memories..sigh

Enjoy eating your cookies in the dark.Heart..

i'm just sipping on a glass of pop and chatting w/you.Smiley Very Happy

@cowboy sam : Wish we were neighbors so that I could cook and bake for you.

Easy Recipe for Hershey's Fudge Made In The Microwave

1\2 Cup Butter

1\3 Cup Hershey's Cocoa

1- 1 Pound Box Confectioners Sugar

1\4 Cup Milk

1     Teaspoon vanilla extract

Sift sugar, soften butter  and mix together.

Place mixture in large microwave safe bowl. Add cocoa and milk. Microwave on high for 2 minutes but stirring well after one minute and microwave one more minute. Remove from microwave. Add vanilla and stir well. Pour into a buttered 8 inch square dish. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Keep chilled.

Great extras: After adding the vanilla: Chopped nuts, or marshmallows or chopped cherries.

Previously I could find disposable aluminium foil pans called cinnamon roll pans but still small for this fudge. I would make about 3 pans and cover with foil to keep in the refrigerator for extra gifts or anyone stopping in to visit. I haven been able to find the pans this year . Size like 7x 5 and perfect for the refrigerator to stack and not take up much room.

Is it possible that your daughter or other family members could make this for you?❤🤗
