@SouthernBee

I'm sorry you are having trouble with getting a food ordes  and i'm no help to you as I live in a very small town.

However, i have tried ordering some food items,etc  from Walmart...and couldn't order them  as they were" pick up only"  and not to be shipped to my house!  and for me like you, no way to go get them...

if i had a ride to do that...i might as well go inside and make sure i could get  items i needed.sigh.

I was with my friends to go to a resurant 4 miles away Friday  and then stopped at the Dollar Store   in our town and got some food for my freezer,etc. and they also got a few things.

oh  forgot out Taco salad wasn't that good..tomatoes just a light pink color!

Hope you managed to get a food order later!

@cowboy sam : I finally filled out a form on line with my concern and questions. I also stated that I lived less than a mile from the store but was handicapped. I just received a response from Publix. The sales prices can only be included for pick up orders.😳🤷‍♀️. If I can pick up the order would prefer to go in the store and select everything especially the meat. DH will take me shopping in the morning. The sales price on the meat is a big difference. Plus they had the Teatly Decaf tea on sale 2 for $5 and that is a good sale. I thought shopping online would be quicker and easier.

Good Morning Y'all: Woke up to sounds of wind, thunder and rain but suppose to end around 8:30 and be cloudy for the day. Really wanted to be at Publix at 7 when they open before it gets crowded. After returning from Publix will finish my delivery order from Walmart and hopefully grocery shopping will be finished for the week.

buying online and in store pricing can differ

i saw something at Walgreeen's and they had it in stock - walked to the store and it was 30% more - iit was NOT. a high price item but it still ticked me off and if i  went into the store and bought it - would never have known - i walked back out - order online - went back the next day and picked it up

websites will state - pricing may differ than in store -

i can perhaps understand if shipped to home - but pu in the store?

for a cheaper price in store pu - employees will have to put it away for u

sorry - rant over

good luck with your shopping - as you purchase more online

i'm sure you will learn the ins and outs of getting what u need

@Yahooey : Totally agree and understand. I try to check prices before going to the store and several items big difference in price on line. It's like a full time job trying to find the best prices.

Good afternoon y'all: Shopping finished and made big dent in budget. Buying extras for the holidays while on sale and available. When we went to Publix : DH stated he would also get a shopping cart and purchase one more of each sale item if necessary and especially the Decalf tea. Then proclaimed that no one in the store better not say anything to him. I was totally surprised but thankful that he paid for what he had and didn't ask for reimbursement His items included the tea, cranberry juice and Boston butt and country ribs. He put other stuff in his cart but told him no because much cheaper at Walmart . Just finished placing the WM order and DH gave extra money . That order will not be delivered until 6 . The can ocean spray cranberry sauce at Publix was $2.25 and Walmart  $1.98. I just checked Sam's Club and the ocean spray cranberry sauce for a case of 6 is $9 something ( forgot that quick ) but equals to $1.66 per can. DH can eat a whole can himself during the Thanksgiving meal. Brain can't take any more math. I am really for a nap.

@SouthernBee

I think the case of cranberries might be cheaper if he likes it that much., but idk?

I have also been doing a search for best price for  a

2-stepstool that folds down for compact storage  #48309 on Collections Etc  dot com  for $49.99

I found a different looking one on Amazon cheaper but not sure if i want it..! reviews were good.

My concern is the distance between the 2 steps to far apart?

  I have the "one step"  plastic fold up one like it when i go with son to get into his high pick up truck  but i know i only go with him a few times a year...

but

when i did last time i  really struggled reaching up into truck to grab handle  inside to help pull myself in after i was on the one step. I think another step might make me taller!

Being short and my health issues with my muscles  its a struggle!

I think i will go back to Amazon web site  and make a print out  and then decide.

I might need to rely more on my son this winter to go get a few groc. maybe from Dollar General.
