@cowboy sam : How was your trip / lunch with friends?
I was able to get the jars cleaned. Still have 1/2 of peaches to finish and finish the laundry.

@SouthernBee

We ate breakfast and picked up friends dh's  repaired tire for his mower/tractor and came back our town...as i told them i really didn't want/need to go into wally in the rain  as they thought i need groc...besides that they told me groc.,etc had beem moved around in the store again!

Sorry about your dishwasher...mine won't work either think control panel needs replaced..won't turn on  even tho lights are on...lol..nope not goining to put money into it to get it fixed..repairman costs more to fix it i think!

Happy you got your peaches cannedHeart

My dishwasher has a problem too.  The intake valve lets a trickle of water into it constantly.  A friend volunteered to fix it, but you know how that goes...never heard back.

Anyway, since it's just me, I normally just do my few dishes by hand.  I've turned off the water valve under the sink to the dishwasher and the leak is solved.  If I want to use the dishwasher, I just turn the water on, let the dishwasher do its thing, and then turn the water back off.

I'm keeping things down to a minimum and trying to hold the place together until I (hopefully) can move and downscale.  I have to pick and choose my battles.

@geezerette

Glad that you can get your dishwasher to work with your help.Heart

Agree pick& choose your battles🤗

@geezerette : I totally agree and understand. Wonderful that you solved the leak. My problem may be the filter but it is a big hassle to remove the bottom assembly stuff to get to the filter. I don't use my dishwasher every day but when I do a lot of cooking, canning and during the holidays. I am also trying to save money for the backyard fence that will be expensive. Always something.

I will be praying that you will be able to move and downsize.♥️🤗🙏🙏

@SouthernBee

yes, like @geezerette  pick and choose your battles...if fence is more important  save your money for it instead!🤗🤗🥓🥓🥤🥤🍉🍉🍑🍑

Did you get any rain Saturday?

Ours only lasted a few hours and stopped but grass does look a little greener today tho.

Did you have any protest parades, or anything over the weekend?

Hope your dad has a good day today!Smiley Happy

@cowboy sam

We did get some rain yesterday.  It cleared up in the afternoon, but it was so humid out.  We had to drive into Chicago and then out to Naperville.  I was so exhausted last night.

I heard about some protests, but there weren't any near me.

He's been doing pretty good lately, thanks.

I hope Curt is doing well with his medication.

It's so beautiful here today.  I went for a walk, and had to go back in and put a long sleeve shirt on.  I opened the windows and shut the AC off.  Yay!

Good afternoon Y'all: Currently 91 with afternoon thunderstorms predicted and the yard needs rain.

Finally appointments scheduled for dishwasher on Thursday with diagnostic cost of $90 and of course parts and labor extra. Central air to be serviced on 7/5/22 no extra cost because I purchased service plan but of course any issues: parts and labor extra.
I don't have anything like a wet and dry vacuum and the dishwasher has an odor with the standing water. The bottom of the dishwasher is filled with water and would be very awkward to try to use towels and afraid of a bigger mess or whatever. Hopefully the dishwasher can be repaired. I looked on line at dishwashers and the prices plus the disclosure that everything is on back order.
