I remember a particular beggar, Eddie Bernstein, in downtown D.C. when I worked there one Summer. He had no legs and sat all day on a wooden platform with roller skate wheels. His "station" was outside Reeves bakery ( best strawberry pies ever). One night I saw him propel himself down the sidewalk to a waiting Cadillac. Carl Bernstein discusses him in his newest book "A Kid in the Newsroom". Look him up on Wikipedia ( when he died in his late 70s he was a millionaire).

My yard guys were here this morning at 7:45! The grass was so wet I don't see how they were able to mow it.😡

They go so fast that they need seat belts so they don't fall off!

I agree they need eat belts and wow how fast they can turn er spin around. !

so fast! It used to take at least 2 hours on big riding mower.. Only.took 2 of them 30 min!😮

@cowboy sam : I had to repair the box that the game is
put in. Our game is the 1971 version and of course purchased used. A very special church couple taught us how to play the game about 10 years ago. The only place to purchase was on EBay. We have two extra sets. Looked on EBay yesterday and they still have a few at reasonable prices.
SIL invited herself to lunch and playing games.

they" finally "made it again from Atlanta to St.Louis,Mo, again and into Illinois and were finally delivered to me this morning by mail delivery lady!

I think that @cowboy sam's butterfly earrings have gotten ahold of my Amazon package.

It was supposed to arrive Saturday, but didn't. It went from Kentucky to Phoenix, and now it's been to two different places in Oregon!

I can cancel and get a refund, but I need the order. I'm afraid the same thing will just happen again if I reorder now. Might as well wait until those butterflies decide to fly on back here to me.

@geezerette : Mercy. Our high yesterday was 100. Currently 97.I am afraid to look at the heat index. Our central air is on 72 but temperature in the house is 74 and we are using our ceiling fans. Our power company suggested that everyone set the thermostat at 74. DH is very hot natured. Stay cool and safe.
