Good Morning Y'all. I have been busy with a few small projects and issues. The weather has been very hot with late afternoon thunderstorms. I have been trying to do all my cooking in the early morning and whenever we get ready to eat - just fix a plate and use the microwave.

Well our hot weather started earlier this year and trying to be conservative using the power. Received my bill the other day. The service days were 5/3/22- thru 6/03/22 for $149. 🤷‍♀️😳. That is normally what we pay in July. We have kept the thermostat on 72 and using the ceiling fans on low. This week really trying not to have too many lights turned on and keeping the blinds closed to keep the cool air in. I am really worried about people that were struggling before all the price increases and other issues. DH drives a Honda SUV and it was over $50.00 the other day to get a full tank. We are thankful for our income but trying to be more thrifty. DH stated the other day that my package deliveries has really decreased. Yep - because trying to save for the backyard fence. Still haven't called anyone else for estimates . I have placed two orders but some things that DH needed and thought would be good Father's Day gifts. Also noticed that the available of grocery coupons have really decreased and especially since we stopped the local newspaper. I was suprised that my last two orders from Amazon had 5 % coupon that I used. Ok sorry for all the rambling. Woke up to go to the bathroom and can't go back to sleep. Stay cool and safe.🤗♥️

Good Morning, everyone!

It's hot and stormy here today.  Maybe we'll be lucky and get a dry day tomorrow, but storms are forecast again for Friday.  I'm so sick of all the rain we've had lately.  Sounds like it will come to an end next week though--high and dry, near 100 degrees with 100+ heat indexes.🥵

The storm knocked out my internet, so I'm using the cell.  I hope they can get it back on soon.  Everything is getting so expensive I don't want an even higher cell bill this month!😩

 He is the  roofers son  and he told me he would  mow  on Wednesdays  in the afternoon when he is done working w/his dad doing roofing jobs.

He prefers to be paid in cash each time...so now i need to get extra cash on hand as i'm used to paying by check at end of month.

@SouthernBee

I also keep my drapes closed during the day,use my celing fans,instead of buying a new ceiling fan for bedroom and then paying someone to hook it up...i bought a tower fan at Walmart for under 25,00 and put it on my headboard  and it works just as good as ceiling fan!

I eat out maybe 2x a month w/.friends  and cut back on buying a few things a month.

@Yahooey : You are not a Lazy Cow. You have to walk a lot when you go shopping. You are always busy tending your variety of plants and flowers. Plus when you cook or bake your items are very unique and special. Then considering your crafting talents with knitting or whatever.

What ever I attempt or do is not on a daily basis.

Then considering our precious @cowboy sam: she wears me out when reading about her walking, shopping . The return trips home and her walking the basement steps to do laundry or store her bottles of water. I am the slow and lazy one.🤗♥️
