@Yahooey

I have a utility knife that I use for almost everything.  It feels comfortable in my hand.  I use it for almost everything.  I have a longer multi-purpose knife, but I don't reach for that as often.  I do have a serrated knife for bread.  Don't tell anyone, but I use that for tomatoes too.

I never sharpen my knives.  I have the big fancy cutting board, but feel bad to cut on it.  It's too pretty.  LOL

@Bri369

aren't u supposed to use a serrated knife for tomatoes? to saw the skin and not smoosh it?

i measured my sink - i wanted a juice groove but it came in 20 x 14 - cumbersome to wash in the sink - bigger than my half sheet pan which is my gauge

then i wanted a marble pastry board - so heavy and it says - u have to lift and not slide it - whaaaat? if it doesnt have finger grips- how do u lift w/o sliding to edge of table first?

another time? that will also be too large and cumbersome to store and use

these places can lead u down a rabbit hole - isn't it purdy? freakin 25 lbs

@Yahooey

It's beautiful.  Sometimes I see chefs putting a kitchen towel under the cutting board so they can slide it.

You're right about cutting tomatoes with a serrated knife.  Sometimes I'm lazy and just use what I have out.  Smiley Happy

grrrr i'm back with nuthin' to show for it

when i went to the C&B site - it says - curbside pu on blah blah if u order today

i took that to mean - if i show up - i will just take it off the shelf and no one has to process the request...

Unknown.jpeg

it is in the warehous and NOWHERE on the site does it say -

must order online - not available in store - very sneaky in the language

they make it sound friendly - ready to ship - available at ur store (warehouse)

i wish they would be more clear

sometimes u see sold out at xyz - try another location

they even give u a count of what is left ala HD, Target

nope - so 45 minutes out of my way (after swimming) and i still will lhave to wait

bc the reason i went to CB is bc Williams Sonoma states NOT sold in store

and i didnt want to have to wait for package

sigh....

so i bought Popeye's fried chicken - and ate 2 pieces over the sink

dear predsHeart and friendsHeart

Daughter picked me up at 9am to go eat breakfast  then get my eyes checked at eye center at Walmart at 11am.

hmm..eye place charges a fee of $10.00 if you use same frames and not buy new ones Smiley Surprised  !I'm keeping mine anyway!

Eye dr. told me my eyes haven't changed a lot since i was last there" 5" years ago!Was surprised at my frames  being in great shape yet and no scratches on lens.

Daughter had retired from Walmart a few years ago and they let her use her discount card on my visit  so   after Medicare and dh other retirement insurance paid.. i  had to pay  my share $298.88 for exam and new  lens-transgressions p?

Before we left Walmart daughter insisted i buy 10 gallons of spring drinking water,3 bottles of Sams cola(only had the 3)  plus gal.of white vinegar,and jar of peanut butter.

Wanted a hair cut at Wally but only 1 person was working and was giving 2 different women perms..  uh no thank you...I can't handle the smells !!

so we came back to my house,  She then left after water ,etc was brought into  my house,etc.

I'm wore out and need a nap.

Heartlubs ya!
