Good Morning Y'all: Very busy with different projects and still trying to remove paint from the door knobs and hinges.
Purchased fresh strawberries and two dips - one was the cream cheese and the other was the strawberry cream cheese dip which hasn't been available for a long time. Also made a gallon of fresh tea for SIL visit yesterday to play board games and cards. I set the Uno cards next to her glass of tea. We kept playing the board game. Finally mentioned the Uno cards. DH quickly looked at me and mouthed a silent "no". I didn't say anything else. She stayed for three hours. 😳🤷♀️When she left DH stated while they were eating lunch she said that she forgot that Uno was more complicated and she prefers to play Rook. DH said he told her: Well next time just bring your Rook game. She replied that she didn't have any games at her house. DH said he told her it will be her responsibility to purchase the game. Next soap opera 🤷♀️😁😳.

my package came yesterday afternoon and i set off for a long walk to Lowe's
got a lemon balm plant - only bc if u rub the leaf - it smells lemony
can use it for lemony drinks in the summer - supposed to come back year after year
got food grade mineral oil also - some wooden utensils look kinda sad
didnt use it yet - bc i was so sweaty - showered - hydrate, snacked and was pooped
u know how 1 action causes a chain reaction?
i've been dinking of getting a (one) japanese knife for months to use for most dings
decades (30 yrs) ago i bought a Zwilling knife set bc I got a gift certificate at Macys - it felt very adult - big, heavy and a lil skeery
i continue using my cheapy cuisinart 5 inch santoku knife i bought at a discount store
i have used the larger serrated knife -biscotti/bread- the small is too short to do anything hence why pros buy only what they need & i didnt know so i bought the set
i have used the large knife to cut a watermelon but otherwise i dont use the set - but i know it was a good buy and should i ever grow up - i will use it
I wanted to buy something to remember my mom
when my dad passed - I bought a Rooster Staub - u know the one that chip - returned after a long hassle - i do lubs that pot
for Mom - I bought the lemon and kumquat tree - well, u know ... they died - got 1 replacemnt and waiting for the other to come back into stock.... but the way dings are going.... it might not be with me for that long a period of time
so i decided on a 1 adult knife - a japanese knife - only bc i like the santoku
i like that the knife is taller? higher and my knuckles dont hit the cutting board
i've been to Williams Sonoma several times testing the various knives
too long... too heavy.... too idk what the heck i'm doing
so i started using my Zwilling 6" knife - the knife grew an inch - i felt comfortable
i even used the 8" chef knife - although heavier - it was okay - my hands are tiny
(adult gloves dont fit me tiny - 1/2" of pinky flapping in the wind tiny)
i digress... apologies
i settled on the 7" santoku- went to buy it and out of stock -
which was why i was waiting for a package...
I needed mineral oil bc the knife should NOT be used on plastic if possible
more research... wooden boards (Boos) are heavy
so today i'm heading to Crate and Barrel to buy a japanese cutting board on clearance....
dont even get me started on sharpening.... i have never used a honing rod and I'm supposed to do that - all those angles - talk about doing math
22 degrees for western knives and 16 degrees for japanese
wth????? i can't freestyle degrees - i know 180, 90 and maybe 45 angles
i do own an electric Chef's Choice but learned i'm NOT suppose to use it constatnly and honing between sharpening should be done
WHAT DO U GUYS DO????
i know it is early but i've been up bc someone mewed at 4am

at least u all came out of it alive - no blood was shed
never heard of the game Rock
I dont remember Uno as being a hard game to play
we played that at the camp site with the small kids
and good that games are her responsibility if she wants something different

@Yahooey @Bri369 : I just watched the YouTube video for 3 player Rook😳😳😳🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️. Talk about complicated. You have to keep a score card because of the points. She is bluffing as usual and she will not use her money to purchase the game. It will be too complicated for her to try to show us how to play since we never played plus never heard of the game.🤷♀️I have trouble remembering and comprehend and depend on my other two friends when we play Uno and Skipbo.
