Good afternoon Y'all: Interesting  event with my SIL yesterday. She is always whinning that she can't make good sweet tea like mine. The back story: I make my tea in the microwave and have written everything down plus let SIL watch while I was making the tea. DH was tired of his sister's constant whining about my tea. DH told me to please purchase everything that I use to make tea and give it to her. So she received everything last August for her birthday gift from us: the Pyrex glass 4 cup measuring cup,  4 - boxes of the  Luizanna decaf tea bags, and 4 of the 4 pound bags of the WalMart sugar, same measuring cup for the sugar, same spoon to stir everything and the exact same 2 of the Lock n Lock pitchers ( to make one gallon or 1/2 gallon of tea) and a note book with step by step written instructions.- how many tea bags: 4 for 1/2 gallon and 8 for a gallon.

So yesterday while visiting: she watched me make tea. I then asked her: Please tell us what you do different? ( DH was in the kitchen with us watching. SIL replied: Well do you remember the 4 cup tall zip  plastic lock container that you gave me with the frozen peaches? I use that  instead to put the water and tea bags in the microwave. I didn't explode. Then asked SIL- how many tea bags did you use and how many minutes did you let the tea ( translated for her- sit in the container like 5 minutes per previous instructions before adding sugar and more water to finish making the tea) . She laughed and stated that she only used two tea bags and then made the tea. I turned around to stop me from saying anything but DH exploded? 😁🤷‍♀️😳Your tea is never going to be close to the recipe because you didn't follow the instructions.SIL laughed and giggles and stated she can't afford the expensive tea bags and used less to make them last longer. DH told his sister: I never want to here anything else about your tea is not good because you are the problem.😁😁 I understand that giving someone your recipe that the results could still be different but not following the recipe. So this August the birthday gift will be a full case of the teabags and a full case of sugar. 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

u are really too kind and i'm glad ur DH spoke up as opposed to siding with sis and asked u to make pitcher of tea for her

u cant expect the same exact results but if u dilute something - of course it wont taste the same - which is fine - but dont complain about it cuz u know u used less teabags

sigh

@SouthernBee, Good grief!  It seems SIL likes to rattle everyone.  Maybe a bid for even more attention?  I really give you credit for controlling yourself!

I don't know how you have the patience to deal with her.  I'm glad your husband spoke up this time.  She really is a handful to deal with.

Good Afternoon Y'all: Busy and stressful week dealing with a lot of phone calls and paperwork. Started with both of our smartphone with the Tracfone app. My phone issues  was solved with the on line chat. But for DH issue took the chat, phone call and ticket number assigned while they worked on the issue and still not resolved.

Then notified by my bank's fraud unit that my debit card was used by someone in California. I still had my debit card and I have never done any business with the listed merchant and didn't know the user. Took several phone calls to get the card blocked and disputing the claim for refund.  Very frustrating because it was a week before my next check and super low on funds because of the house projects this month.Still waiting for new debit card. I keep my debit card in a leather wallet that is supposed to block being scanned. Very upset and frustrating that this happened and not sure how it happened.😳🤷‍♀️

I'm sorry your card got hacked.  These scammers are very sophisticated and don't need your card to use it.

Your check should still be deposited into your account without any issue.  Sorry you had an issue locking your card.

Boy, you've had a rough week.

I agree with @Bri369--your check deposit should still come through with no problem.  The bank will link the two different card numbers.

It's like when you get a new credit card with a new number.  The charges from the old card number will show up on the new one.

But I'm sure you'll stay on top of the whole situation until it resolves properly. 👍

@SouthernBee, Iam sorry for all the trouble with your stolen card number.

We have had that happen to us two times.  Somehow or another, thieves manage to hack businesses and steal numbers.  How infuriating, even though you are not responsible for payment.
