Y'all need your help please. Back story= DH prefers his sister's potato salad. She told me her recipe and very similar to mine but she uses more onions and the yellow onions. I need the sweet onions for me but DH always said do whatever and make extra large bowl. He said mine is better now. The other day only available sweet onions and they were organic and very large onions and what I normally purchase is medium size. I had 5 large onions and decided to use 3. Normally I use 6 of the medium size onions. I used a 5 pound bag of potatoes but they were smaller and not as many. My big mistake didn't chop them really good. Just mixed everything up. For my tast the onions were more hot instead of sweet.( I double checked the bag and labeled sweet onions). The onions were in more big chunks than what I normally do. Taste more like onion salad instead of potato salad. I spooned out as much of the onion as possible and put it in the refrigerator. I have 5 more potatoes. If I make more salad without onions will this help with the original salad or just have two separate bowls? Some days it is difficult for me to make decisions. Plus later this afternoon predicted severe thunderstorms for remainder of today and all day tomorrow. I am trying to get a lot of my cooking finished today. I know that everyone's taste is different but any suggestions appreciated. 🤗♥️

i think more potatoes w/o onions and mixing all together will be fine

just taste and season as u go along

but since ur DH like the extra onions -

perhaps do a bowl with less for u and more for him?

like you- i like the sweet vidalia onions better -

and the others make me cry - whereas these don't really

why are there already 2 big flies buzzing around indoors?

yes - i leave the door open to the yard so zoe can explore on and off

wasn't it just freezing and now i'm sweating with bugs in the house

@Yahooey : Thank you. I just finished making the other without onions. I decided not to mix them. Tomorrow will make me a serving and add a little of the onion salad. I still haven't made my deviled eggs. Got my squash cooking. All I need to do tomorrow is the ham. Not fun having so much to do and being super slow.

@Yahooey : I totally understand. It has been so hot and humid today. Normally in my area - the weekend before is can be cool or cold. We have been using the ceiling fans this week.
