good luck @SouthernBee  with the estimates

i agree that a replaced fence is much better than a repaired one unless the contractor thinks it can be salvaged and would last a while

@Yahooey

i will walk across my yard where my old house used to be and look to see if my peonies are coming up  in a while and let you know.

Are all your plants veggies?

 while walking with neighbor yesterday...was damp and cold same for today..i'm wanting to stay inside  today!

My oldest  son just called and talked to me,said he gets his stitches out of his head Thursday!  Then sees specialists next week for biopies reports.

He gets tired out easy yet.

@SouthernBee

Like Murpy's law you start one project and then its one more thing or things!

I got a email from Zappos  today and the are showing tie dyed crocs.!..some pretty colored onesSmiley Happy $54.00 but didn't price kids sizes..like you i need a size 4 or 5.

While son was in hospital we needed clothes to wear so we went to Good Will..i found" 2" different colored tie dyed t-shirts brand new for $2.48  each ,and other clothing for 4 other persons  so we didn't wear stinky clothing!

Sounds like you found the right man to help w/painting,etc.

We were also in a Target store to buy under pants,etc...that we needed.,

plus a Dollar Tree..for tolietries,snacks,water,pop,etc.

@cowboy sam : Totally agree and understand about emergencies and doing what is necessary. Doing a whole lot of praying about the projects especially hard to find people to work and the price increases on everything.🤗♥️

Hello allLovelies!

@cowboy Sam, I continue to keep your dear son in my heart and prayers.  I continue to hope for the very best outcome.  I am so glad you and his family were able to stay in the area where he was being treated.  It means so much.  Please try to take good care of yourself.  Remember that everyone needs you.

@SouthernBee, I can relate to everything you are thinking of related to remodeling.  We went through so much, and now DH wants to add more insulation in our big attic.  Of course, there will be a big cleanout of stuff before.  It is for us, but also when we do decide to sell. It is always something,  it I do know that around where we live - well, condo prices are very high, and condo fees alone are about $500 or more a month.  So you pay for condo, pay for taxes and insurance, plus condo fees.

It is not cheap to live here, but we love it, and our family is here.  And we still like the change of seasons.  Our DD and SIL want us to think of moving closer to them, as they are a good hour away.  Not yet, my sweets.

Is there a way you can cook once and get enough for DH to get two or more dinners from it?  Would help you.

Also, you have to be persistent with getting contractors to reply.  Common problem!  But when stuff is done, makes you so happy with your home.

Now, my uncle (my late mom’s little brother) was hospitalized and now in a nursing home.  He just called me to let me know.

I feel badly, as his dear wife passed several years back and has one child living a distance away.  Nursing home is a distance away, and we will be arranging a visit.  He is a quiet, good person.  A great sense of humor.  Love him so much.
