Good Morning Y'all: Currently 49 and todays high of 82. I have the heat turned off but the house is cool (67) yet if I turn the heat on .... gets too hot real quick. So frustrating.

Busy trying to cook what DH wants but I need different food . Trying to cook but not two separate meals is time consuming and stressful. DH meal for Sunday was BBQ ribs started in the pressure cooker and finished in the oven using the broiler for about 5 minutes too give them a texture liked grilled. I made homemade coleslaw and baked beans and corn on the cob. I tasted the ribs and they were good. I ate few of the baked beans but couldn't swallow the corn. I then made chicken salad for me. I ground the chicken up. I had no problems eating the chicken salad with a few crackers. 

My friend that helps clean my house met someone that does house painting and wood or wall repairs. I called him and he came late yesterday afternoon. Found out that his group also does house remodeling , floors, carpets and fences repair or new. He said that he focuses on quality work. I asked for estimate on bathroom wall repair and painting. I mentioned that I would like an estimate to paint the interior of the whole house. DH had previously messed up the family room wall trying to paint it when the door , and door frame was replaced. I know when the contractor added the family room his painters had trouble matching the paint and blending it in with the adjacent room. Only noticeable when the lights change during the day.

This guy indicated it would be better to purchase all the paint at the same time.

DH then requested estimate to repair the wooden fence in the back yard but in reality it needs to be replaced. I also requested estimate to paint the front porch and my ramps that were added but never painted. The guy told DH that he would give him a military discount and will get back with the estimate. After he left. DH was in the back yard and everywhere he touched the fence it was wobbling and not secure. I thought why repair and then if we have a bad storm the fence would crash. I didn't tell DH but sent a text requesting for measurements and estimate to replace fence. So my project has turned into something bigger. I haven't forgotten about the flooring issues but still trying to convince DH to do something like laminate or vinyl planks instead of carpet. DH is convinced that the house will be much colder without carpet and will be hurting his joints.

My friend said the only carpet that they have is in the bedroom and she regrets not putting laminate like the remainder of her house. Then I stated but everyone has different options. I noticed since having the carpet cleaned that it didn't last long and the carpet really looks bad. Always something with a house.

my fault it is cold in my area

went to lows and bought a 72 cell seedling tray along with seedling mix

just filled 12 cells and will fill more in a week - just pacing them out so when i transplant -in case it is too cold 

my raspberry bush came bc the company sent a blackberry last fall and they were sold out - i will transplant in another day when it isnt so burr outside

i got red shoots - is that my peony? if u lovelies can tell me - much appreciated

i agree that a replaced fence is much better than a repaired one unless the contractor thinks it can be salvaged and would last a while
