@Mj12 : DH snores. I know when he falls asleep at the computer because he sleeps with a bi-pap macnine.

and all....
Rain and snow here today, but sleeting right now. I walked the neighborhood yesterday picking up litter and it was just glorious....very sunny and almost warm. Now, this ![]()
My mint is already up and...against my better judgment, I am going to try some "Hummingbird Mint" recently ordered from QVC of all places! Haven't ordered anything in a long time, but this tempted me as it attracts good things. Hopefully, the deer will leave it alone.
Also ordered seeds of the same plant for backup planting. We shall see.
Yes, exercise is a constant for me too. There just isn't any way to diet the pounds away without it.
Thankfully, I have eaten healthy most of my life. My biggest problem is stress/depression eating. A constant battle.
I worry about too many things, but mostly become immobile. So, as much as I hate the "thought" of exercise, I continue to push myself.
Hope everyone has a good weekend!

i have never seen a HD hot dog
some of these places have a food truck outside but that is independent of HD
Costco hotdog - havent had one in years - but it is tasty and with a cold drink
for under 2.00 i think
It was typical to see a food truck outside Lowes and also Home Depot where I lived before now, and where I live now. Not, as you said, associated with either of the businesses but evidently some kind of arrangement. Wonder if it's a regional thing?
I've never been to a Costco.😊

@PamfromCT wrote:I avoid those hardware types of stores as often as can. Often DH goes alone.
We have a Barnes and Noble about a half hour away. I love that place, nice coffee shop, piles of books and pretties. But I go very rarely, as it is full of temptations. I try to buy gently used books on Amazon, and we have so many anyway.
I love Queen Elizabeth, stuff about the royals, and British history. I have quite the Brit collection. When a book has been out for a while, my chance to pounce for my very own, and cheap copy. We have Amazon Prime, natch.
@PamfromCT, I'm probably the outlier, but I like the hardware type stores. Probably for 2 reasons... as far back as my memory goes, I was fascinated with how things were made, taking things apart, and (with luck) putting them back together. Building, assembling stuff.
The other reason is that my father had a small do-it-yourself hardware store, then later moved into an expanded version with a local franchise, both small and "homey," and I think the fond memories of that are evoked when I go into any similar store. I also like the home decor sections -- I've found some great buys in lamps and rugs, that sort of thing.
Love the memories of nice bookstores and our old hometown library, too. My mother was an avid reader, made sure we always had library books to read, and I gravitated to that when I finally landed on a major in college. (I had 'way too many interests in college, had a hard time settling down on one as my final major.) We have very few bookstores near here now. (sigh) Bittersweet, but great memories I'm lucky to have.❤️

@SouthernBee wrote:Good Morning Y'all: Yikes. Winds 25 mph. I am in the den in my recliner near the garage and sounded like garage door just opened. Ok . Me confess . Me big scary .... cat . DH in back of house 😴 snoring. I just looked at weather report on line and indicates for 7a.m. Snow and rain😳🤷♀️. Wind hollowing and central heat just came on and the ice maker just made ice. Noisy morning. Of course the wind making the house pop and crack with different sounds and my stomach just started growling.
I love your description, @SouthernBee! You are a sweetheart, brave and not a scary cat, not at all.❤️
Identical weather here. Went from balmy, even warm, spring-like weather to... bam!... bitter cold, howling winds, and rain/snow/rain. Yikes!

I have been on arthritis meds since age 14 for RA. Back then there was nothing but aspirin. Some days I took over 20.
So, last spring I started having tummy trouble and saw a Gastro Doc. Had a sonogram, Endoscopy, and MRI. Finally, just taking one Prilosec OTC everyother day along with all the other meds.
Not due for Colonoscopy (ugh), he suggested a pancreas biopsy, I thought about the options, and risks, and decided not. OK so far, but need to be checked again in the Fall.
It it's not one thing it's two.
@Drythe, You have been through so much, yet you don't often bring it up on the forums. It can wear a person down, can't it. We often know so little about what our fellow posters are experiencing, and sometimes we make assumptions that aren't accurate, thinking that because someone doesn't post about complaints they must live a charmed life. I enjoy your comments, the wisdom and "smarts" you bring and share, your ability to offer positivity and smiles.😊 You're a gem. Sending (((gentle hugs))) and good wishes for better, pain-free and worry-free days. You're in my prayers, my friend.❤️
