Hello Lovelies,

Peeking in here.  Finally, a thread on home page talking about donations for Ukraine.  Very positive, and I told about my very negative experience last week.  Hoping that would keep the. naysayers away!  

DD and I had a great time at the craft fair.  About 120 juried crafters.  Stopped at one booth to speak to the artist of some striking more modern paintings.  Not usually my top choice,  but his paintings spoke to me.  Come to find out, he is of Polish and Ukraine heritage!  We spoke about Ukraine, and I bought a few note cards he is selling to directly fund the cause.  A child and a sunflower - the national flower of Ukraine.  Did not buy his paintings, quite expensive.  What an interesting experience.

Now I can finally take a breath.  Many thanks for those who left an encouraging message for me here.  Still I am sad about that thread of last week.  DH told me, “I don’t think you have anything in common with some of those people.”  He is right.

I am not a saint, many faults,  but have always cared very much about others, and giving is vital to me.  It seems like the whole tone of these boards has changed, and not for the better.  More nastiness.

DH and I went through some challenging financial times during our long marriage.  But when you give, donations of money and your time, for the right reasons, guess what?

God will never be outdone.

I'm so happy you came back to tell us about the craft fair.  The note cards sound beautiful.  I would love to see them.

@Bri369, Thank you!  I wouldn’t feel right about displaying the picture here.  But it is a huge sunflower, bending down, and a child reaching up to touch it.  Have not gone back to read messages here I have missed.  

Saw an interview with Lester Holt from Poland.  He said he sometimes cries.  And also said, “That’s ok.  It proves I am human.”
