Just talked with my friend. She uses her DH IPad but doesn't like tech stuff.

We both have the latest update. She was emailing her neighbors yesterday without issues.

She received my emails but I haven't received her emails with response or her sending new emails.

She uses her emails from the email icon on the home page of the iPad.

She emailed me while on the phone from her address then her DH address.

I never received them.

My iPad didn't indicate that it was trying update or sync with the email.

She said her DH is legally blind and they only let the Apple people do anything to his iPad. She refuses to do anything and was very stern that the issue was with my IPad. I checked her email address in all of my contacts and no changes.🤷‍♀️😳🤗♥️

@SouthernBee,  Hmmmm.

Very hard, maybe impossible, to troubleshoot this if she's not even willing to try some simple steps to help us.

I'm not sure her comment that it's your iPad makes sense because you said,

"I sent her another email from my galaxy smart phone and my end indicated sent but she didn't receive it."

I was reading back...

for the most part you've said she is receiving your email messages but you're not receiving any of hers,

but there was one you sent from your phone that she didn't receive?

Is that correct?

@dooBdoo : I have a issue with my iPad and I can't explain it so someone understands me.

This has been an issue since purchasing this iPad.

We do have the whole house extended WiFi with our cable company.

On the IPad  WiFi setting- the WiFi indicates that is green and on and then later without touching the iPad the WiFi will be disconnected. Then I will turn it on.

I have discussed this several times with the cable company and they say everything on their end indicates everything working. DH will then check his computer, router and whatever.But something scary for me is that DH is forgetting a lot of his computer stuff.🤷‍♀️😳

@SouthernBee, Since you've had the cable company reset your router, the next thing I'd do is go into the iPad settings and use the "Forget This Network" option, then reselect your Wi-Fi and enter the password.

If that doesn't help, I'd use "Reset Network Settings" (this is a very simple troubleshooting tool for problems with the internet, it can clear up all sorts of issues, but for some reason it's not often mentioned.  My iPad 6 is getting older, sometimes has internet connection weirdness, so I use this feature regularly).

It will reboot your iPad and then you'll need to reconnect to your Wi-Fi with your password.

Sorry you're encountering problems!   Our tech devices are great when they work but downright aggravating when they don't!

@dooBdoo : I took notes during my talk with friend yesterday. She stated she finally received the email from my smart phone. That email included photos of my remodeled bathroom. She said that she sent a reply stating that she liked the bath room and my choice of colors. I told her that her reply was not received. This morning still no reply. I checked my in box and all folders. I am looking for my notes for my Yahoo account. I need to check it . I need to make sure that I might have by accident blocked her email address. ?🤷‍♀️The last email that I received from her was 1/6/22 and she used her DH email address to sent photos of all the snow. I truly appreciate all your help.❤️

@SouthernBee

Thank you!

So it's only the incoming-from-your-friend email that's not succeeding.

As you and our pal @Yahooey both wisely suggested, it could be a block or a filter in your email account.😊

If not in your settings, there's an outside chance Yahoo mail might be doing it.

Now and then, our email provider will get glitchy and start blocking mail from specific domains or IP addresses, and other than reporting it there's little we can do other than wait for them to fix it.

As an example, all of the sudden after years of no problems Gmail wouldn't deliver any mail from Facebook's domain to my account.  The only thing I could do was temporarily change my Facebook email contact address until Gmail got things back on track.

You're a good friend to take time to work on this.  (As we know, you're a good friend in any and all situations!🤗❤️🤗)   Fingers crossed that this glitch will be resolved soon, and easily.😊

We're in the path of some stormy weather, and a "strong, damaging winds" advisory (I already can hear the wind howling at the windows).   Some of the power lines around here are vulnerable to gusty winds, so I'd better get a few things all set just in case.   A Monday greeting to everyone peeking in, to all ⭐️Preds⭐️ and Friends!

Good wishes, ya'll be careful out there now, y'hear...❤️
