Hello Lovelies!

Glad to see everyone survived the storm ok.  We did.  A good amount of snow and no power outages.  Of course, it rained after the snow,  but luckily we didn’t need to leave the house til it was all done.

We do run a humidifier unit during the cold weather. It’s located In our downstairs hallway so it does both levels.  Every day it has been putting five gallons of water into the air.  It does make a difference in how we feel.  And good for the furniture and the house in general, too.  DH fills it up every day.

Lessman is having a big vitamin sale on HSN this month.  I have stocked up on my must-haves.  I have a few that have made a big difference, so it is well worth the expense.

Take care everyone and stay safe.

Hi Y'all: So this is my latest soap opera. DH tells me on Sunday after I finished cooking that his sister really craving my sugar free yellow cake and chocolate frosting. He stated they would be eating lunch on Monday and it would be great to surprise her with the cake. Ok. I get my hand mixer out to make it quicker and easier to clean up. I didn't have any of the sugar free can frosting. The recipes on the Splenda site took like 20 minutes to make the frosting and they were not sugar free but reduced sugar. I make my regular recipe of chocolate frosting and didn't put all the frosting on her cake. I made the cake in a 9x13 pan instead of making two in the 8x8 pan and freezing one for later. Monday afternoon, SIL emails me and stated the cake is wonderful. She said she already ate two pieces but had a question: Is the frosting sugar free? 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️😳😳😳😳😳😳Like she can't tell the difference from SF and the real stuff🤷‍♀️😳😳🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️!!!!!. She said because she really wanted to eat more cake. She is a diabetic but she thinks if the cake and frosting are SF she can sit there and eat the whole cake. I have told her that the SF products are not reduced calorie. I have told her that I substitute the cup of water for 2% milk and use melted butter instead of oil. I made her a cake in December and will not be doing this every month. She tells her brother that she is not a baker and everything that I do is so much better. I read the email to DH . I didn't say anything. He said- she wanted an excuse to eat the whole cake. I said : ok but that is on her and her responsibility when her sugar is high- plus she needs to learn how to bake or find someone else. He replied that she doesn't always have the needed ingredients or the money to purchase everything.

@SouthernBee

You are an 😇 !

I’m sure my mouth would have told DH then that if the ‘on demand’ cake service was going to continue, he would need to learn to bake! 🤭

You did superwoman cooking during the recent holidays, and deserve a break.  Additionally, you have made great progress toward your weight loss goals, and don’t deserve to have extra temptation hanging about.

Valentine gift list continues- what does everyone hope for?

**actually haven’t received one in years, I’m due.
