How kind of you and everyone who commented.  I'm afraid I'm not nearly as attentive to the daily goings on...but I do read.

I'm recovered mostly, and DH is still sniffling, but he never slows down.  I suppose I should be thankful as I have lots of time on my own to ponder the universe

The weather is always a big story in the Maryland/DC area as traffic is bad on a good day.  Thankful I don't have to get out.

Southern areas in Maryland will get mostly rain, so....I've been to the store and have all necessary supplies to get through the weekend.

Having 2 nice grocery stores withing 10 minutes of my house helps.  What one doesn't have, the other one does.

Spring cannot get here fast enough and I normally enjoy winter!

Central NC, sleet and freezing rain ... turning into Black Ice, about which no one from elsewhere has a clue.

When we lived in Utah, I heard a local PBS program about NC, one of the worst winter driving areas because of Black Ice.  Went on to do a 30 min program about it.

Everyone be warm.  Generators on the mark...Get ready...

Black Ice is a frequent topic of weather conversation in and around the DC area, so don't feel alone.

We are also expecting freezing rain which is deadly to our trees and, of course, power outages.

Our generators got a workout just last week, and I expect to hear them humming along this weekend.

I'm repeating myself, but I'm ready for Spring.

Don't display something you aren't happy with.  It's your home and you live in it.  Donate it, and maybe they'll get the hint to stop giving you things like that.

Interesting that after Christmas my two friends were vising and they both give me items like this. The one that gave me this big frame: Stated - please listen: I will be downsizing to a smaller house next year: I do not want or need any home decor items. I spoke up and said: I don't want to hurt y'all feelings but I have been telling y'all the same thing for the last two years . Please I prefer that we stop exchanging any gifts. Let's just do lunch. I didn't give them anything this last Christmas. It will be interesting to see what happens.
