Here is a picture I took driving in one day a few weeks ago. Beautiful picture but a week later I got a speeding ticket in the mail for that drive. 😮 It was literally the one stretch of traffic with no gridlock. I saw my shot and paid for it literally. 🤣

@Yahooey

I love walking and have a wonderful trail within 5 minutes of my house.  I can walk there!

However, some areas of it are through heavily wooded spots and I'm just squeamish about going alone.

So...you can join me as a partner next time you are in this area. Cat LOL

As it is, I walk the quarter mile to and from my mailbox most days and continue to spin and a few other things.

There is no exercise that will turn back the hands of time, but I keep trying!

@Mj12

When I worked at 19th and E, I ran at lunchtime in this area.

Never got a speeding ticket....but have recently gotten 2 locally from speed cameras.

Pretty annoying.

I miss the beauty of downton, DC.  However, the traffic was brutal most days.  Don't miss that.

My commute from Southern Maryland was often 2 hours on the bus.  Thankfully, I no longer worry about it.

@dooBdoo

I think of you often and enjoy seeing your posts now and then.   Sometimes there aren't any words to make sense of all that goes on in our lives.  I'm wishing you peace and happiness always and lots of simple joys.

My new viewing pleasures now include elephants in South Africa (HERD organization), and baby sloths (Toucan Rescue Ranch in Costa Rica).

Hope you have a wonderful holiday season from beginning to end. Cat Happy

@Yahooey, You can be a powerful motivator, ‘ya know?  But not enough for me.  Gotta drive downtown for sidewalks.  Can walk in a large game refuge, not too far from my house.  But I scared of bears who libs in the woods.  Sometimes too hot outside, sometimes too cold.  I does not do rain.

Solution?  Read a book to hopefully exercise my brain.

WWPD?

Yes, despite wishing I could live in NYC in my youth (spent summers with my Sicilian grandparents who lived on the corner of Avenue U & McDonald Ave in Brooklyn), I realized I'm a country girl at heart.

Don't like crowds or lots of strangers catloll:

The bike trail I spoke of is 13 miles one way, and I've ridden it many times back and forth.

So, to and from the mailbox is a few minutes and only deer and squirrels for company catloll:

@Yahooey, How are you - and everyone else interested - doing with your supplements?  I added Lessman’s “Ginko 120 plus Ginseng 200” to my vitties.

Wonder how folks are doing for healthy bones?  You must be taking Vitamin D for calcium to work.  And the university clinic I go to recommends taking less calcium amounts than most people routinely take. Too much can be harmful.  Exercise is great, and they now recommend keeping your caffeine intake low.  I am down to one cup of coffee a day.

Of course, you must talk to your PCP about all this.

DH and I watched an insanely funny movie the other night.  It was an oldie, “The "three Amigos.”  We haven’t laughed so much in a long time.  It was good for us.  Good therapy.

GM Preds & friends!

@PamfromCT  funny you mention supplements. My husband and I were so good taking them during 2020...then got complacent. We recently started back on them. Each morning I take:

Emergen-C (just because)

Vitamin K2-D3

Liquid iron

echinacea

Lessman Essential 1

Lessman B-12
