@Yahooey, Winston doesn’t have a shy bone in his body.  He has a lot of Maine Coon blood, and is a meeter and greeter for all who come into our house.  He’d be your best friend in a couple of minutes.  As they say, “Maine Coons are dogs in cat’s clothing.”

I'm sorry about all these dear friends and family members with health issues.  I've been so frustrated dealing with my dad and everything that's been going on with him.

He calls his appointments "meetings."  He goes to socialize rather than discuss his medical issues.  I have to ask all the questions and get all the information while he sits there and chit chats with the doctor about where they went to school, where they grew up, sports - anything and everything.  That is just his nature.  He's very social.  Me, i'm anti-social.  I want to get in and out, get the facts, and leave.

He's desperate for some sort of treatment, but everything is so risky.  The oncologist mentioned surgery.  Yes, he'll do it.  Cardiologist said too risky.  Heart procedure to get him off blood thinner so there's less of a chance of bleeding from tumor.  Yes, he'll do it.  Specialist said it's too risky.  Oncologist said oral chemotherapy.  He wants to do it.  He has no idea what the side effects are from that.  At this point, I think he's better off just monitoring it.  It hasn't spread.  It's a non-aggressive cancer and very slow growing.  I forgot to mention his lungs are filling with fluid.  He has to see the pulmonologist to get his left lung drained.  He's done that 4 times since May.

My sister is no help making any kind of decisions.  She is going to pray the cancer away.

Sorry for the rant.  Smiley Sad

@Bri369 , hugs. ❤️

@PamfromCT @Bri369 @Yahooey @Drythe @Mj12 @SouthernBee @cowboy sam and all.....good morning. Doing well here. DH spent the week here. Thanksgiving was actually great! We went to a local lodge and the food and atmosphere was spectacular! No cooking, no clean up! Yay 😁! We went to a local town on Friday and bought some things from a boutique for DD and some things for her fiancé. Everything is decorated for Christmas, as DD and fiancé will be here for five days on December 13th. We have planned on going on a Polar Express train ride on December 14th in the evening on the Great Smoky Mountains railroad. Can't wait to see my DD and fiancé!

@loveschocolate, Everything sounds so wonderful.  Bet

the train ride will be spectacular.  How long is the train trip?

I have a cousin who has taken a number of train trips in his retirement with senior groups.  He visited us briefly this summer from another part of the country, traveling mostly by train.

Good afternoon Preds and Preds very special friends: I need to go back and read everything. Like hurry up to get everything finished and boom all over. Me and my trials. So I got paid Wednesday and no time to pay bills decided will do that Friday morning. Well on Friday about 7:30 a.m decided to go to Walmart 🤷‍♀️😳. Really good time and not crowded. We were able to talk with the cashiers, workers and police officers and thank them for their service. I enjoyed looking at the Christmas decorations and other seasonal items. I was looking for the stretch gift ties for my jelly jars but not there. Returned home and took a much needed nap. Spent the rest of Friday and Saturday morning shopping on line trying to finish. Every time that I came on the forum trying to read everything before posting   always went to sleep. This morning at 5 a.m. getting ready to post and realized that I forgot to pay my bills and utility bills due tomorrow and can't pay on line. I had no choice but to call each utility company and Monday is the worst time to call. Not a good way to start Monday . Took so long because of waiting for next available cs rep. Thanksgiving was great but disappointed that friend only took one to go plate. We had four to go plates for friend and his brother. Friend said no way because he had already consumed two plates of food and one big plate of the sweets.We managed to linger around the table and talk  for a while. So y'all know that something had to happen: I had taken everything out of the refrigerator and waited for the oven to preheat. I thought I had put everything in the oven. Got busy getting the serving plates, pies and pumpkin bread arranged on the extra table. Looked up and noticed everything still sitting on the counter🤷‍♀️😳..... dinner was delayed about an hour.😳😳😳🤗🦃🤗🦃❤️❤️❤️☕️🥓🥓🥓🥓🥤🥤🥤🥤
