I'll keep your SIL's father in my prayers. There's so many unknowns and a lot to deal with.

Hello Lovelies,
@Bri369 and all praying, Thank you! With three blocked arteries to heart, unable to have surgery due to poor shape, cannot be w/o oxygen even for a breathing test, he needs all prayers.
On a happy note, I is very excited about road trip. I duz trust kitty to drive very good, more than my DH LOL. But we will need to pull a trailer for wardrobe changes and goodies bought at gift shoppes along the way.
So happy at pending kiddos visit. Different personalities, such goodie kids. And funny.
A while back, took them out to family restaurant for dinner. GS, who has avoided meat, ordered a huge steak dinner. When I said surprised at his choice, he thoughtfully told us, “Well, you know I am going through puberty. I am also going through a growth spurt.” Whe he was very small, we were at a place where there was a large globe. I asked, “Do you know what this is?” His answer: “Well, the world.” He’a always Been kind of an old soul.
Little toot loves art, drawing and painting. Dancing lessons and such. More emotional. Has written me verses that really surprise me for her age.
They love their family, friends, and their Opa and Mimi. Brought up with animals, they love them.
Please forgive my bragging. When I get down and feel sad about so much going on in the world, all these kids are our hope for better days ahead.
Sending lubs to Lovelies.

i posted my adventure on the other board - since HEE inquire about my stalk
since NYC no longer gives out bags (paper. or plastic) at grocery / clothing / drug store - you either buy it at cashier or bring ur own
at all times - I have a bag in my backpack and if I go food shopping - think ahead
I first took the train to 42nd st and 6th ave - Bryant Park (knitting igloo) - holiday fair is open
there was a vendor there for many years that sells hand carved utensils etc from olive wood
they were not there last year as many other vendors - anyway bought a ladle and spatula (with slot to hang off pot)
wanted it for my cast iron (not to scratch the enamel) I need to touch and look at every single piece for the grain
that goes into backpack
ate lunch - so good - a cafe (a chain in Denmark) mushroom, char broccoli and goat cheese on focaccia bread - toasted
got email that - yesterday - Starbucks giving out the RED reusable holiday cup - got the last one -
cuz girl in front asked and the guy said only 2 left
u order a holiday drink - ask for the cup - they put into paper cup but u get reusable one - that goes into back pack
will I use the cup? who knows - but when u get email that says free - u get it - or wait in line to get free or watch whole demo of knives to get free veg peeler - sigh - okay, I'm rambling
walked down to 21st and 6th ave - where TJ is located
stalk 3.99 - hazelnuts 6.99 - sourdough bread 2.99 - almond Kringle (forgot price) and best pricing herbs 1.69 for 1 ounce
my supermarket on sale price this week - 1.99 for .5 ounce
okay rearranging stuff - cuz weird oddly shaped stuff is hard to carry
2 long utensils - bread - nuts - herbs in backpack
stalk - kringle - red cup and water bottle in tote bag
back onto train 23rd st and 6th ave - didnt get chance to go to TJ/Marshall/BBB which is located at 18th st and 6th ave
too heavy - tired and know I couldn't really buy anything
I dont keep bread at home - this is for leftover ham and cheese melts for meals after TG - so gooood
so the bread went into the freezer and I like their sourdough bread - dont have this at my supermarket
I dont buy fresh herbs except at holidays - I tend to use dry
whew - I'm tired just writing this all out -
but it was such a good warm day and got everything I wanted on the list
lubs to awl and to awl a good night - ****** it is before 7am lol

pls brag away and i wanna hear every detail -
ur GC sound delightful - an old soul and deep thinker and
the effervescent little toot
children who are kind and thoughtful grow up to be kind and thoughtful adults
we need more of those in the world

@Yahooey, Thank you my Lovely. Your shopping sounds like such an exciting adventure. I have never lived in a city, and we have not been to a city for such a long time. We both enjoy it and miss it. Such a change of scene from a woodsy suburb. We are “museum people.” DD and I went to the Hillstead Museum in Farmington, CT last weekend. A mansion on huge and beautiful grounds, filled with all the art and goodies a very wealthy family collected way back when. Even two “haystack” paintings, doubtless bought on an overseas trip when Monet was cheap.
Where we live, not in our little downtown, we don’t even have sidewalks. LOL

Well yes, yes I did . . .
@momtochloe, Is this really you? If it is, you sure are a very pretty lady. And one who can cook, too.

me dinks @momtochloe is a gourmet cook
she buys all sorts of stuff to have delivered & always try new recipes
and she has all kinds of fancy gadgets
me been watching videos and recipes bc last night i bought a whole duck
did i ever cook duck before - NO
do i even own a roasting pan - NO
i have eaten duck and lubs it
this is in place of the cornish game hens bc they wanted 5-7 a piece and i would need 6 hens
i have a ham also which i have done in the past
in the style of mtc HEE - i always try new recipes at family gatherings
people always say - do tried and true and the dinner will be sucessful
my motto is - how will i try new recipes for just me and Zoe?
there is always other stuff to eat and why didn't u cook something? HA
i will be making ham - iffy duck - meyer lemon tart (maybe pumpkin cheesecake too)
brother is making - baked pasta (cuz his son wont eat anything else) - spanakopita (cuz his daughter is pescatarian) mashed potatoes
if any of u have cooked duck - drop me a clue
