I hope our little Sam’s home problems are corrected soon. Please may someone convey that to her.

@SouthernBee, Once again, I admire your high energy and commitment to make such a loving home. The amount of cooking you do amazes me, as well as your attention to decorating and organization. And how very kind of you to welcome this friend to celebrate with you.

Although my SIL’s father is not doing well, he was released from hospital to a rehab facility. He is insisting on leaving rehab facility to go home. He lives alone. His heart function is very poor, his breathing very poor. His son and my daughter very unhappy about this, as they both work and have demanding jobs. But they are insisting on hosting Thanksgiving, so reluctantly we will go there and contribute what we can.

After Thanksgiving, our two GC will be staying with us for the weekend. Nothing big planned, but we have a few options in mind. They have decided they would like to buy their own Christmas presents, so we are into a new era. We have no idea of what to buy them, so this works. We had years of buying surprise toys and such and happy memories of that.

perhaps the father can get an aide that will help a few hours or so

medicare provides some hrs i think...
