@Witchy Woman

sweetie - u are register on the other board

i've been tagging ur name there -

have u been ignoring me and i didnt even know?

🤣

being part of our circle means there are ups and downs

and when 1 of us is down - the others will lift you up

taking some of the burden off your shoulder

you can vent - you can cry - you can have a sad

never judgement - but lending an ear and support

we will always do our best to give u a gigle and a smile

our preds always did that for all of us and we are just following her example

Re: @Preds ❤️

[ Edited ]

Has anyone had remodeling going on so close to your home and for months on end that you hear all the pounding of hammers, whining of electric drills and saws, and miscellaneous other noises that come and go at random intervals?

This is just a vent as it's been going on for over two months.

I'm not asking for remedies or any help since I've already spoken to the contractor (twice) and finally told them if they keep making noise long after the hours the permit allows, I will have no option but to file a complaint with the city.

Thanks for listening. (No, I'm not against anyone making changes to their home, but I expect them to keep to the hours allowed.)

ETA So sorry, I forgot to mention no one is living in the house yet. It's just workers there for those strangely long hours.

You know, on one hand you like to see dedicated workers. Too bad they  don't have silent tools. Sigh . . .

@GingerPeach : Totally understand and agree.  In 2016 we had our kitchen remodeled , added a family room and garage while staying in the house. One of the contractors workers came one morning at 6:30 a.m. with a huge boom box on his shoulders and blaring at full volume.  Plus he drove an old big truck that was loud and thumping. Between that and DH reaction very tense scene. They normally arrived at 9 and stopped at 5. Was a 5 month stressful situation but finally worth the time and money.

Hello Lovelies!

She’s back!  Good grief!  After all my phone calls to Customer Service, etc., can’t believe it.  Might think we wuz trying to get into the Pentagon site.

A huge hello and hugs to all Lovelies!  So missed you all.  Hope you are all ok.

The person I have written about - the COVID survivor with bad side effects, well, he is worse.  My DD’s FIL.  Presently in a cardiac ICU unit of a major hospital here.  Trying to find out if he did indeed have a heart attack and/or what else.  He has been, and will be, on oxygen 24/7 for the rest of his life.  The stress is bad, and I feel so bad for him and his only child, my dear SIL.  Please say a little prayer or think of him.

On the happy side, our “official anniversary” is November 12th.  Yeah, 55 years ago two crazy kids got married.  Still crazy, but stayed together through thick and thin.  Still kids at ❤️.  When I think of all we have been through together...it blows my mind.

Stay well, my honey buns, will be back, hopefully.  Hugs!

Pam

Thank you for being so thoughtful and incuding me.  I thought I posted a note this morning, but could not find it.

I did not migrate to the new board and not sure I ever will.  Many days, I have nothing positive to offer, so I don't want to always be a wet blanket.

I will contiue to read and post now and again, but I didn't want you to feel obligated to include me Cat Happy

@Witchy Woman

You're not a wet blanket.  Just being here is good enough for Preds and Friends.  We lift each other up, support each other, hold hands, cry and laugh together.

That is very frustrating.  I think after a certain time, neighbors should be respectful concerning noise.

@Witchy Woman

You are the last person I think of when it comes to wet blankets.

Quite the opposite.

Ive only seen gracious and interesting and thoughtful posts from you, which seems to match the sensibilities of your being an innkeeper and/or B&B host.

Besides, who else has a spooky birthday like yours.

Happy belated birthday, btw. 🧙‍♀️❤️
