@GingerPeach : Last year went for the flu shot. The pharmacist said we were due the flu shot and shingles shot. I asked questions and really didn't want them at same time but he said they could be taken together. DH didn't want to make a second trip. My big mistake. I left arm  had a very red , hard puffed up spot for a couple of weeks. I was really messed up for two months- no energy, nausea and just felt horrible. I told DH that I would never do that again.I told the pharmacist about my issues and he acted like it was just me. I called my doctor and he said he would add this to my records and do not have two shots together again. The shots were in different spots on my left arm. I can't have shots in my right arm due to mastectomy.

@Yahooey : The commissary was low on milk and less variety of name brands. In the last few years the commissary has been stocking more of there made items and yet not much cheaper.

My Immunologist told me to wait a month after my Moderna shot to get the Shingles shot, and two weeks between Moderna shot and flu shot.  

I had had no major problems - Thanks Doc.  Y’all are being smart to spread them out.  Happy you are getting them.  I can’t take the hi-test flu shot because I had a reaction to it, but had the regular one OK.

Too much of a coward to take two at once.

Just because they say you can, doesn't mean we, as individuals. should.

I don't see the point of overloading our immune system just for the sake of convenience (one trip instead of two or more). If it works for someone, fine. I'm not "against" it. But no point in pushing it, either.

I mean, even electronic systems can get overloaded if you punch too many buttons too fast. Simplistic and maybe silly, but still, anything can get overloaded.

I  preferred to spread out any vaccines my dogs have needed, too.

I agree. @Drythe is smart to take the ones best for her and to space them however is best for her. No apologies - also, no apologies for taking back the bread. That person was ungrateful.

As a child, there were a few houses with "older" ladies who made and gave away popcorn balls for Halloween.

That began my long love affair with them.  I used to make a tub of caramel corn and eat the whole thing.  It never made it to "balls."

Of course, that was when I was young and skinny and could eat anything

I have a very hard time resisting eating the whole package of 6, so just stopped buying them.

It's a struggle -- and I don't need them!

@Witchy Woman : Precious memories. Growing up made the popcorn balls with my Mother and BigMama for Halloween. The last time I tried to make the popcorn balls was a big mess.

Thanks for the memories. I still think of young and slim as my natural state, no matter how far I am from both.

I do wish I had appreciated myself more then. Do we ever see ourselves as we really are and appreciate ourselves as much as we deserve?

Although along those lines, maybe as we get older we learn appreciation.
