@Mj12 : Thank you. DH wanted me to bake another cake and nope because the both of us have been very bad this last week.

I noticed that Nordic Ware has a 6 cup Bundt cake pan. It is very light weight and not sure about durability. I was thinking about getting one to use for gifts. Trying to determine if my recipe for cream cheese pound cake would make two of the smaller cakes. The 6 cup size would be perfect for two people to share. Enjoy your weekend.

The painting crew is finishing up today, and we are very happy.  For so many years, my DH used to paint one side of our house every year.  Kind of like painting the Golden Gate Bridge. But at 80, I have forbidden ladders for him.

We don’t know how much longer we will stay here.  Heaven only knows. But in our area, if you want to sell your house in a timely manner for a good price, it must be in tip-top shape.  With so many families, with mom and pop working, no time or energy for a fixer-upper.  Not to mention unknown expenses when you first buy a house. And I can’t imagine somebody buying this house without having a family.

Who knows?  We might be here longer than we guess.  

Glad to see everybody well here.  I watched the Lessman show on HSN and bought a new supplement.  For my eyes, seems better than what I have been taking.  So much on sale.

Others have so much more in the way of challenges and worries, major life roadblocks, heartache, sadness, pain, so I know I need to concentrate on counting my blessings and not my troubles!

I'm a work in progress and everyone here is such an inspiration!

Waving To Everyone...Happy Weekend! 

I've been having problems signing into the forums for the past couple of days...I would keep getting the message..."Hmmm...information is incorrect"... or something to that affect...I couldn't get into my account or on the forums...I had to call Customer Service yesterday and the issue seemed to be cleared up until I logged on this afternoon and had the same problem...Now, Voila'... everything seems to be okay for now.

Has anyone else here been having any problems?...I also asked Customer Service if the forums will definitely be closing down and they said that they would be by the end of the year...I'm so saddend, as I'm not feeling all that comfortable about signing into the Proboards site at this point...The fact that it is a personal run website and not a corporation/company run website has me questioning security and how well developed and managed it is...So time will tell.

Meanwhile, where the heck is everybody?...It is so quiet on these forums and has been for quite a while now....Remember the good ole' days when they were so very active and there was so much sharing and fun...Sigh!

Well, I will be checking in with all of you from time to time this weekend and hoping to see you all...y'all (just for @SouthernBee)...lol

So sorry to hear you haven't been feeling like yourself.

My little miss Kiku (of the alpaca sweater) has learned "dance," for which she gets a blueberry! Typically it consists of spinning in a circle. Also if I'm "dancing" she will jump around alongside me, plus do the spin. She gets a berry for all that, too.

Now to just capture it on video without getting my slippers in the frame. 

ETA: I know we sometimes downplay our own problems or issues by comparing them to others who have more serious ones. In recent years I've learned that while the issues may be different, often the feelings are the same, and we shouldn't minimize how we feel. We are important, too. 

Frankly, that was one of the things my mother (and probably so many mothers) got wrong and I always felt it was wrong, but not until recently did I understand why.
