@Drythe

I adore Carnival Glass....not tacky at all!

I longed to buy a big pitcher and glass set years ago in orange Carnival Glass, but could not afford it.

It's beautiful to my eyes!

I am happy to meet you, we Carni lovers are getting scarce as hens teeth.  I still look for lovelies, but they are rare.

Do you have a piecethat is special to you?

I only have one tiny Fenton basket in black carnival glass similar to the color below.  It has a top handle and flutter edge.  So delicate and pretty.   I believe it is Black Amethyst Carnival.

Remember when Fenton was a regular vendor on QVC?  That's when I bought my little basket and two Black Hobnail witches' shoes.  I put them out for Halloween.

I gave up collecting anything years ago.  No one to leave it to and...I've been decluttering and streamling for years.  However, I still love looking!

Preds & Friends - well, I went into the office today.  Took the Metro which was surprisingly fine.  However, I'm exhausted.  How in the world did I ever do that 5 days a week? Smiley LOL

@Mj12 ...How the heck are you doing?...You must be done with your lovely deck by now?...Does your husband have construction experience?...I wouldn't know where to begin and my husband wouldn't either, but he would act like he did...lol

@loveschocolate...I'm thinking of you also...How is everything going at your beautiful lake house?...Have there been any unwelcome intrusions lately?...I hope that all is going well and  you are able to enjoy taking your time with decorating and finally getting settled. Cat Happy

@MyShadowLove  I never answered you, I am so sorry!  No, my husband doesn't have any construction experience.  Just self-taught.  And he watched a LOT of YouTube videos on how to do something or other.  He is a perfectionist so it takes a lot longer than I'd like.  For example a few years ago we had to have our kitchen gutted due to a leak.  I was home with the contractors and he'd come home at the end of his day and point out things they missed or took shortcuts on.  And he was right!  I'm sure they were glad when our job was finished.

Ours would too, but they are distracted most years by a huge hickory nut tree in our back yard.

Those things falling are like bombs!  And the sound of the squirrels gnawing through the husks to get to the nut is downright unsettling Cat LOL

Edited to say:

@loveschocolate If that lakeview is yours, it is very beautiful.  So lucky to look out and see such a vision.

All we have is woods, and that isn't bad, but I do love the water.

@Witchy Woman , thank you ☺️. We bought this house in western North Carolina in March. ❤️

You hit the mark at eBay!  Congratulations!

I have been doing some Holiday shopping over there too.  EAPG

compotes, which I will fill with homemade chocolate, and include a nice linen dish towel.  I always enjoy nice new dish towels, they just don’t stay nice that long for me.  OK, clean, but not pretty.

Did you see that I had a Margarita with Sam at the bar last night?

Don’t tell @cowboy sam

@Drythe , I collect "crystal wedding" EAPG and depression glass. My mom started me on this over 20 years ago. ❤️

@loveschocolate

Wish I could see your collection!  Have always had a fascination with glass - Air & Fire.  Your Mom must have been an interesting person, and what fun collecting together!

I collect Carnival glass, fruit patterns.  Some say it is tacky, but I

like it.  Also have a small collection of EAPG, no particular pattern, just what catches my fancy.

Hope you are able to find some pieces in your new home.  There used be tables and tables of it around here, but, as you know this type of thing is out of fashion now. 😕

@Drythe , it's not tacky! I'm fascinated with glass! All kinds, really, but I focus on the two types. But, if I see something I really love, I get it! I have a few boxes of depression glass I still need to unpack. My Blue Danube china is still in Ohio, but packed up.
