Sorry for your issues with the Y. Either everything is closed because of COVID, or if it is safe to use the pool, it should be safe to offer towels. I don’t get it.
The thought of physicals coming up is not fun. As far as sugar, would you consider taking a cinnamon supplement? It has to be a special type of cinnamon. Lessman makes one that I take, but I am sure you can find similar in many places.
I take many supplements, And DH, too. He had a “mild” heart attack out of the blue 10 years ago. Was biking, walking, etc. so much. It was a jolt. My DF died of a massive heart attack, so I was scared. We are not perfect, but at 80 and 77, we are in pretty good shape for our age.
I am an advocate for supplements, and at least trying to eat a healthy diet. Lessman’s “Turmeric 400 Curcumin” has helped my back issues so much.
Oh, I want to mention some caution. If anyone is going to get a COVID booster shot, make sure you don’t schedule a mammogram until 6 weeks after. Could skew the results. And to keep your bones strong, make sure your Vitamin D levels are tested. Along with calcium, good Vitamin D levels are essential for healthy bones.
That’s it. Hope everyone stays healthy and can enjoy life. We all have our “specialties,” and this stuff is one of mine.
Thank you for kind words,
Pam

@PamfromCT : Love reading your post. Thank you for the great information and will look at the supplements because of my lower back issues.🤗❤️

@SouthernBee, I can bet you might be able to find other brands, too. Lessman is an expert in the supplement field, in my humble view. Most docs ignore and just write prescriptions.
He manufactures his vitamins, in his own plant, in this country. Not a doctor, but educated in natural remedies. He does not mass produce enough to sell in stores, but sells some through QVC, HSN, and on Amazon. Not cheap. But he has special sales on HSN every month on certain things, so I stock up. Much information on the HSN website for every product. I try to watch him when he is on to try to learn. Even if you end up buying other products, you can still learn from him.
Oh, my DD had the Pfizer booster yesterday. She has asthma and also has contact with many people, so she gets her shot early. So far, just a sore arm. DH and I getting ours tomorrow.
My dear friend of 50 years, living in the Deep South now, is a nutrition Person - does cleanses, etc. She even tried to help her late DH so much, but this wonderful man died from Lewy Body Dementia several years back.

@PamfromCT : Thank you. On HSN now trying to place order for the cinnamon, turmeric , vitamin D and protein drink. Trying to decide if need 60 day instead of 30 since my body slow to respond. DH and his sister have issues with sugar and will order for them. I am healthy except for weight and joint issues. My doctor is amazed that my sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol are good.

thanks for the thoughtful post which provided so much info @PamfromCT
i've missed you posting with us and calling us ur lovelies
but i'm glad u are here now
i really gotta eat more properly also - i dont want to take supplements to lower my sugar bc i can lower my sugar if i dont eat so much sugar - but if at some point my sugar levels are high and im eating properly - i will keep that in mind
my family also has heart issues - my dad had a couple of stents put in
my nephew who looks very fit and exercises like a fiend - saw that his heart monitor showing levels that was not right while biking
he called a friend to drive him to the ER - and yes he had surgery to put a stent in and he was then late 30s - this prompted my brother to be checked since he is much older and needed a stent - scared me so i went to check and my heart is ok
i try but i keep forgetting to take my supplements - my vit D levels are a bit lacking - gotta remember - along with probiotics and centrum
pls post more about stuff that is good for us - we need to learn and take care of ourselves much better - well, i do
