of course no one came to give her the covid test

call the lab people who sends out the technicians

and of course it was after 5 when i contacted them and they will send an email along with my phone number - no one called me

the 'chat' person couldnt even answer me whether they do testing on the weekend but they send my question through - 

the nursing home case worker said she put another request through

just so frustrating - either u have a technciialn assigned to give a test or not

she was schedule for yesterday and they didnt come 

you would think they would come today - NOOOO 

finally reached a real person who was driving around in his car - weird

said he will send someone out tomorrow morning - and i wait....

@Yahooey  I haven't been around and I'm not going to read the posts. I'm playing with my grandson but I did read about you and your mother. 

You are amazing! We think we're superhuman women and can push ourselves and do anything and everything, for the people we love. WE CAN'T, no matter how much we want to or try to. If we do all of that, then we end up sick and pay for it in the long run. You had to give up some of your caring to others, for your health and for your mother's health. 

You're a great daughter and never forget that. Forget everyone else and just concentrate on your mother and yourself. If you fall apart, what good are you for or to your mother.

Happy that you got to see stepson and wife  and agree. with the long ride.

I would love to visit my oldest son in another state   but that first trip in daughters car  wasn't easy..close to 8hour drive!

Riding that long ,even with a few breaks is not going  to happen again i think...

he and his wife try to come to my town to see me and stay at their daughters house  once a year or so. 

Anyway..you are back safe !

Sometimes..things  don't go as planned and we are very disappointed my friend  so please  don't get despressed  and upset.

ok..and don't forget to take some deep breathes...and step outside  a bit to calm your soul...if possible when your niece is there take a short walk,etc. and step away for a bit  and relax

I'm sorry about the covid test.  It's frustrating when things don't go as planned.

sure enough - the guy i spoke to while he was driving came through

a technician came to the home 8am and did the covid test

results will be sent to my phone and i can share that with the case worker when she goes into work Monday

both nieces and whoever shows up (pancake?) will celebrate Mom's 93rd BD a few weeks early

foodie niece will be creating the dessert even though we know mom cant eat it

i'm alone today aside from brother coming in the morning for stuff and then again in the evening for stuff - we rope a 3rd pair of hands  for the evening stuff

i may clean the yard a bit - have neglected it for several weeks bc of ...

gosh things are overgrown - some plants have finished their cycle

i want whoever visits to have easier access and pluck whatever they want

then i wil have some quiet time and knit my younger niece's hat

doing somthing like that grounds me - makes me feel better

much cooler and non sticky today and the AC is off -

finally and i can breath in the cool fresh air

words cannot express how much preds friends have meant to me

you guys have let me be me in my ever changing state of mind without judgement 

i feel lubs from ur gentle words of encouragement

I'm relieved that the guy for the covid test came.  

It's important to have your quiet time and a time to recharge.  All you can do is take it one day at a time.  

What kind of dessert is your niece going to make?  It's a bittersweet time for you and your family.
