from what i understand tracfone (verizon) is switching out from 3G to voLTE
https://tracfonereviewer.blogspot.com/2019/05/tracfone-closing-3g-cdma-network-phones.html
read this article bc some are saying u can switching out the network if you remove the battery and replacing after 10 minutes to see if it would switch over
i dont have a sim card and never did with trafone -
they said to remove battery and sim card
worth a shot - i screenshot the part that may be helpful
additionally this move by verizon/tracfone has been around for several years -
to sell you a phone that would be obsolete in a year's time is not good business
i'll look for any new info
nutmeg had 2 posts and idk which one you are speaking of
there were 2 post from nutmeg -

@Yahooey : Mine is the LG Priemer Pro 5.3- 4G. I am really really confused. Interesting that my two friends just stopped by and they within the last month purchased the larger Moto phones and their carrier is consumer cellular. One of them handed me the phone and I almost dropped it. I could not hold it in my hand because it was so big and heavy- put it in my lap to look at. The huge display was wonderful. They had to purchase bigger purses. I have enough trouble getting around with my walker and a small purse.... ok rant over.
So bottom line: did I make the wrong phone purchase for the Samsung Galaxy A10 e.Never tried to open a phone and take the battery out😳🤷♀️
