Hope your feeling better today

It took me a long time to realize i was making  only myself sick over sister  and

she didn't care at all and went on and caused problems with others..even with her 2 daughters...she is a very unhappy ,toxic person..

so for my health and sanity  i had to let go of my hurt and anger  only way to do so was to forgive her  !Took a long time  .

She has no power over me any longer and i can say No to her now  if she wants to go somewhere with her.,etc.

I'm glad you ordered your new cell phone...my moto g7 is 6.2 inches   and i wish it was a tad smaller , but the new tracfone gardenman ordered is bigger than mine! 

Getting bigger and bigger  and harder to fit in some of my purses if i upgraded say to one like his.!Mine is a year old now.

Yours sounds like a nice one as other day i also was looking at HSN...but think i'll keep my moto for another year.

I love how you talk about out smarting your s.i/l  with kindness...lol

My  neighbor started a group to read the  Year Bible Study reading a chapter a day.

Well with reading the book   on the Bible, the ladies told me i was only hurting myself by not letting it go and forgive her! I couldn't  let go!

This sis once told me  it was time  for me to forget it! I hung the phone on her after her comment...she  still  doesn't think she did anything wrong  even when i refused to be around her!

Uh..no if i'm around her ,i can't trust  

her as she never once told me she was sorry and i   still dislike her!

So yes you can pick your friends but not your family.

I'm sorry you had to, and have to, deal with this, @cowboy sam.  

The forgiveness and forgetting is a tough issue.   

I think it helps to remember that holding onto anger or resentment only harms the person holding it...   the "other guy/gal" causing the problem is probably not even thinking about it, while we're stewing over it.   

Life is too short for that.

My siggy, at times, has said:

We can try to understand why they are the way they are, and that comes from our love and it might help us quiet the resentment or anger, and it might help somewhere down the road if healing is possible.   

Also, we need to protect ourselves from additional pain...  but it's not healthy to be "on guard" too much of the time. 

We need emotional armor but not an armored heart.

We just don't know how many days we have.

My prayers for (((@Yahooey))), (((@cowboy sam))), and (((@SouthernBee))), and everyone dealing with similar situations.❤️

as for  not knowing how many days we have...

i read in my newspaper this week in the obits  2 ladies i know  had died and same age as me.80 years old.

I felt  so lucky to be alive !

as i was walking with neighbor lady and telling her that also.
