Bertie is a no fuss doggie. He is a Puggle - 1/2 Pug, 1/2Beagle.  He wants a short walk daily, and the rest of the time he is a snuggly boy.  No brushing, just nail clipping.

His Mom had to go into hospice, and left her house to her brother with the understanding that brother would care for Bertie.  Brother

left Bertie out in her yard all of Dec. Jan. & Feb. alone, no food, no water.  A nice neighbor put a bowl of food and water in the yard for him, and a towel on the front porch for him to sleep on.

Poor baby, all alone in the dark and cold.  Breaks my heart.  After 3 months the neighbor was going away on a cruise, and put a notice in the neighborhood news, if anyone could give him a home please call, or she would have to take him to the shelter.

We called, and brought him HOME.  We and he are so fortunate,

we all love each other very much, he just walked right into our hearts.  Robbie, the Lab thinks He is a great buddy. He’s 10 now, been with us for two wonderful years.

Mom’s Brother never asked anyone where he went, or looked for him.  Has no idea what happened to him.

Wish Bertie had a Brother I could bring to you!💙💙💙

It's OK now, but boy was I furious when we found out what was going on!  How dare he leave this sweet, little, house dog, who loves everyone, wandering around alone, sitting outside, by himself in the cold, with just a towel to curl up on? Brother has NO idea, nor will he ever know where Bertie is.

Bertie says POO on HIM!  I gots me a Good home!

I picked him up, we got in the car, and he never looked Back!

We are SO Blessed!

@Drythe  Your post, infuriates me! I know there are people that don't like dogs or any kind of animal and that is their prerogative. I'll never understand that but.........  Yet, how can anyone, especially a brother, knowing how she felt about the dog, treat "THE ANIMAL"  (even if he dislikes animals) like that. It pulls at my heart strings. Disgusting!!! I'm not a naive person at all. Ihave had an uneasy life (no sorries) and have seen things but this behavior, makes me furious. It's as if he wanted the pup to pass. People like that should pay some kind of price and I don't mean monetary. I believe in Karma. What goes around, comes around, eventually.

Ok, sorry for my rant. Bertie is obviously blessed because now he has you. The two of you were meant to be together. In jewish, we say the word "Bashert". A person's soulmate or it was meant to happen!😘

That story will haunt me for awhile but then, all's well that ended great!  That's not always the case. I can deal with bad people, bad things happening and bad health, etc, but mistreatment of defenseless animals, NO WAY!

PS: The neighbor has a good spot waiting in heaven for him or her.

Bashert - I like that!

I hope this story will not burden your spirit.

He will pay, absolutely, we know that.
