While waiting, he got his 1st shingles vaccine. Smart man!  I'm on the mend and I'm so glad I'm still working from home so no one sees me.

Oh no, @Mj12!!!  I am so sorry.  I sure hope you are getting some relief by this time.  And yes, the pain is pretty severe.  I did the same thing last July.  I was having lower back pain and just thought it was releated to some yard work I had been doing.  But I couldn't sleep, etc.  Went to the doc and was diagnosed with musculoskeletal pain and I felt like a wuss.  lol  I mean, years of nursing and I have had back pain before...does this mean as I am now older that I am a wuss and can't tolerate lower back pain any more?  I could not get even semi-cofmortable for even 5 seconds.   Well at 5:30 that exact evening I broke out in the rash down the flank area.  I did a big "yes" when I saw it because it meant I wasn't a wuss!  LOL    LOL!  At least I had a real explanation for that deep, grinding pain!    

Started on an anti-viral, took prescription strength Motrin and that helped some.  We (my PCP and I) had decided it would be best for me to be vaccinated the following Jan. since that was the year I was the recommended age.  Well....shingles had another plan!

I sure wish you well.  Get rest as you can, take any and everything you can that makes you feel better too!  LOL!  LOL!  Hang in there, friend.
