No special dinner and no gatherings for me--I miss my fam, too! However, it's been a great day. I got some chores done to get ready for roofers to come tear off my roof tomorrow. And I had a virtual "brunch" with my dear daughter. Not a lot of brunching but LOTS of running our mouths! Then I had a facetime with my beloved sister, whose family has been battling with serious Covid with complication, but seem to be slowly on the mend now. Two still in hospital, though none currently in ICU. (Nope, it's NOT time to ease up yet.) And there were other good things today as well. Plus reading about all of you! Life is GOOD.

@PamfromCT : Thank you for the kind words. No can do with me being so slow and so much joint pain. I started at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday morning and had to take a lot of breaks and didn't get out of the kitchen until after 7p.m. Plus to think that was for just one meal.🤗❤️

i prep a lot since i have a very small kitchen and not a lot of anything 

i start 2 days in advance - so a little at a time is not so daunting for me anyway

i wash as i go - no dishwasher

i dont even own a set of mixing bowls 

i have various size bowls that i mix in 

for someone who bakes - i find that amusing

you must be a natural cook and baker

ur meal must have been delicious and for u to accommodate everyone's fav dish is ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My dearest friend has made that mandrin orange cake in the past  and i loved it...a few days ago i mentioned i would love to  have some of hers!

But,she is 3years older than me  and in her-in her mid 80's and doesn;t cook as/bake as often as she has bad arthritis in her hands...they are now curled!.

But saw a specialist and he offered to do surgery on her hands and she said no,but is taking perscription pills-horse pills she calls them! She seldom drives her car now so her hubby takes us .
