@cowboy sam : I had multiple vegetables and baked chicken. Included dessert was sugar free chocolate pudding that I am saving for later. The mail came and someone had gifted me a subscription to Reader's Digest that I just finished reading the whole magazine. I finished drinking  all my water at 1p.m.

Ambrosia - previously spelled it wrong. So many recipes.
My family always used the orange sections and juice with  coconut and add a little sugar if the oranges were not very sweet. Other Southerners added a can of drained crushed pineapple, chopped pecans and cherries. Mom always made the basic because of limited income. Some people just call it citrus fruit salad. Some recipes use drained fruit cocktail. Other recipes include sour cream, marshmallows and used drained can mandrian instead of fresh oranges and add powdered sugar. Really depends on what one prefers. Mom always enjoyed her ambrosia with a slice of fruit cake.🤗❤️

@SouthernBee ...Your Ambrosia sounds yummy...I've never made it but I googled for recipes after I saw your post and there are many variations...Martha Stewart has one that she adds Greek yogurt and a little honey to, along with a few different fruits, so I copied that one...Do you live down South?

@Yahooey ...I simmer my Chili in the crockpot for several hours...perfect day for it....I sometimes make Stuffed Peppers or Sloppy Joes with the leftovers....Did you end up going shopping today?...I took advantage of the "gawgeous" day and got lots of sun walking and light jogging with my husband...soooo refreshing!...I'm now sipping on some Green Tea with a shot of Whiskey added...lol...I hate Whiskey but, every now and then,  I find it very soothing added to my Green Tea during Winter months, especially if I feel a cold coming on or after being out in the cold brisk weather...It's very therapeutic! Cat Very Happy

@Bri369 ...Brrrr!...A perfect day to curl up in your blankie and stay warm and cozy!

@loveschocolate ...I'm thinking of you and how busy you must be, yet so very excited, getting ready for your move to your beautiful home overlooking a lake...We all are looking forward to when you are all settled and we can come and have a house-warming celebration with you this Spring. Cat Very Happy

@MyShadowLove : I live in Georgia near Fort Benning.Your green tea with Whiskey made me laugh. One time after Mom died I got  sick with a cold and bad congestion. Brother made me a hot toddy(sp). Knocked me out. I woke up 6 hours later soaking wet including all the bedding. Got up and took a hot shower and no cold or cough. Brother had fun telling everyone  that the Bible thumping Baptist got drunk but everyone asked Brother if he made it happen?🤷‍♀️😀🤗❤️

Y'all, I went to have my vaccination today. It was in a high school gym. Very well planned out and organized. Went in, continued the registration process, went right over to be vaccinated by a pharmacist, sat for 15 minutes in the bleacher area to make sure there wasn't any adverse reaction and then drove home. Made my next appointment for three weeks from today when I registered in today. So far, so good. I'm tired but that might be my "regular tired". 😝

that's wonderful @loveschocolate

my niece made an appt for my mom thursday and there were so many openings

it was schedule for tuesday but was cancel since she is having other health issues

friends told me that their appts for their parents were months away and some can't even schedule - i was surprised my niece scheduled so easily

i just tried tonight and there were NO appointments avail

i guess when my niece did it - a new batch of vaccines came in bc she was just reading off days and times for me - WIDE open

so confusing

hmm... both appts were done on thursday - is that the magic day??

@SouthernBee ...Hahahaha!...Too Funny!...It sounds like your brother definitely made the perfect Hot Toddy concoction that knocked that nasty cold right out of you...That is a great story and memory!...Uh Huh, I've heard about you Bible thumping Baptists! Cat LOL

I have an older sister who lives in Canton, Georgia...She has lived there several years now...Her son had a job transfer so she followed him there, as she wanted to be close to him and her grandchildren...She has always missed the Northeast (New York State) and has talked about coming back, but she is torn between both places right now...She will probably end up retiring back here once her grandchildren are in College and starting on their own lives.

@loveschocolate ...That's great, so both vaccinations will be complete by the time you move...Is your husband scheduled also for his?

@Yahooey ..Well, look at it this way...More snow is coming so you can make up for not being able to take long walks by shoveling more snow...Hey, positive thinking! Cat LOL
