@Yahooey, Of course, you are most welcome to go to Tibet.

I used to read about that part of the world, but I am very, very

non-athletic.  So we can hire sherpas to carry all our stuff from the airport to the monastery, very slowly.  So not to worry.  But have to find a monastery for women.  And then I had an inspiration.  Instant coffee!  But I don’t think we should leave in winter.  Will give me time to get in shape a bit.

You are quite athletic, with all your walking and such. It would be nice if others wanted an adventure, too.

Edited - We might have to go to Nepal, despite the damage from the big quake.  I think Tibet could be under Chinese rule.

That would be a no-go, as they might think we are American spies.  Yes, unlikely looking spies, but we can’t take chances.

Desperate for a trip here!

Circling around in the yard is no longer cutting it.  Living vicariously through streaming tours isn't doing it either.

I need to TRAVEL SOON!

There are similar places in Viet Nam and Cambodia, AND

Viet Nam is doing well with COVID too.

Oh, er... can I go too?

@Drythe, Of course!  If we can find a monastery.  We can live there “on the cheap” if we follow their rules.

Good Morning Lovelies,

Feeling a bit pessimistic about a trip to Nepal.  Likely because of all the problems to be overcome.  Actually, I want to go to Italy in the worst way.  However,...We do watch the Rick Steve’s shows on PBS.  We also ordered a boxed set of special DVDs he has put out, I guess the best of 20 years.  We got the best price on EBay and are awaiting delivery.  We watched a show on Switzerland the other night - it was fantastic.  But I would be sooo scared to go up on those lifts to those huge mountains.  Would you be?  Told DH I would have to take so much meds to relax me, I wouldn’t know where I wuz.

Our neighbor is recovering from emergency kidney stone surgery (he is 85), and my DH’s relative is waiting further direction for treatment.  Between COVID and the holidays, it seems all stops.

My best to all.

@PamfromCT  You're so adventurous.  LOL

I feel so bad for your neighbor.  Kidney stones are so painful.  They must have been so bad to require surgery.  Smiley Sad
