Good Morning Everyone! Heart

Well, we woke up to about 10" of beautiful soft, fluffy snow this morning...absolutely a lovely Winter Wonderland out there!...I was up early before my husband and noticed that our birds were having a hard time getting their food from the two birdfeeders that we have for them, as the snow had blown and covered some of the openings, so I hurried to their rescue and bundled up and headed out to take care of them...trudging through the snow...They were in the trees watching me and chirping away ...so sweet and precious...I love nature and the look and refreshing feeling after a beautiful snowfall, so I took a long walk around our neighborhood enjoying the beauty of it all...I then shoveled our front walkway and we have plow service that will take care of the rest, although my husband always ends up adding his finishing touches...So that's my morning so far.

@Bri369 ...How great it must have felt to get out of the house for a lovely drive enjoying the Christmas decorations...a very much needed healthy emotional lift for you! Heart

 @cowboy sam ...I'm sorry you had such a restless night...I thought that your weighted blanket was helping to give you a better night's sleep...I've been doing some research and thinking of maybe trying one out...I'm usually a good sleeper, although this year has affected all of us in so many ways, so I was reading how they can help with anxiety and promote relaxation, along with good sleep.

@SouthernBee ...I'm so sorry about the sudden and tragic loss of your friend's daughter...The loss of a child is so devastating and I can't imagine the grief that your friend must be feeling...Sending (((((Hugs)))))) to your dear friend.

@Yahooey ...Diz yous getz loz of snowz in da City?

@Yahooey : The cookie recipe= about 5 years ago went to Tampa with our church ladies for a special meeting. First time staying at the Doubletree hotel. This year the hotel decided to release the recipe since people were not traveling. DH has never tasted this cookie. This will be my first time baking them. Already worn out. Cleaned my counter top good. Set out all the ingredients and took a break. Just finished measuring all the ingredients and taking a break. Still need to mix together everything and then bake. Plus I wanted to make banana nut bread ?  I am so slow and need more energy.

@Yahooey : Love my new mixer and second time using it. The cookie dough was stiff and difficult for me to hand stir in the chips and nuts. Just baked the first cookie sheet. Mine were baked within 16 minutes. Still need to adjust the time because the bottom of the cookie was almost over baked. Wondering if cooking on the bottom and top rack better results would be to just bake on the middle rack? The recipe did indicate special information. I get confused on what to do.🤷‍♀️🤗❤️ Sending care packages ASAP and depends on the weather and the postal service😳😁

@SouthernBee

i know some recipes will say - hand mix them in but with so many chips and nuts going into stiff dough - i would put the mixer on the lowest sitting and stir them in that way or sometimes i use a dough hook in order to cut through thick sticky batter with mix-ins

dough hook can cut through the thick stuff easier - i do that with biscotti

no sense throwing ur arm out trying to mix them in - it isn't a delicate souffle or something where the recipe calls for keeping the air in the batter by carefully folding in items

i always bake 1 sheet tray at a time - never could do the 2 trays - and reversing top and bottom racks and turning 180 degrees

i also dont mind a crisper cookie so the harder bottoms can come to me
