@Yahooey  That is a cute bag.  I don't know why I love those little bags too.  Like I'm waiting around for someone to say "I need a little bag."  Then I pop up with "I have one,  I have one."

I need new products for my face.  My forehead is so dry now and everything else is oily.  It was never like that before Smiley Sad

@Bri369  My face is really dry and peeling from switching to a 0.1% Retin A from a 0.05%.  I've tried the .1% before but never kept up with it. This time I am. Why not, where am I going🤪.

I digress. For the dryness and peeling I found a greeeat product. In a day or two, it's gone. I've tried everything from Aquaphor, Cerave, La Roche Posay, and heavy moisturizers but the Epionce Medical Barrier Cream, is the only product that works for me. I love it. A warning, it's heavy. I wake up in the morning and my face still feels soft and moisturized. Don't get me wrong, it does not come off on the pillow but you feel it non the less on your face. I only use it at night although, if I'm home during the day, I do use it sometimes. I especially love it after my facial peels, once a week.

Have you tried a mild oil, just on your forehead? It's tricky when it's only in one spot.

I hope you find something that works😘

I have a few things that help for a little while.  Now that we have the heat on and it's drier, I have to use a little more of it.

@Bri369, how's your DH doing today?

Good afternoon Preds and friends! ❤️

@loveschocolate  He's so so - not worse, not better.  I'm having a hard time convincing him there's nothing to do for this except rest and try to stay hydrated.  He's hot and then he's cold - just can't get comfortable.

Having a humidifier on in the bedroom when the heat is running is the beat thing I’ve found for winter skin.

Hope you find something that works for you.

Hello Lovelies,

Checking in after a while and glad to see all Lovelies ok.

@Bri369, Hoping your DH is better soon.  Are there any shows or movies that he might watch on tv to cure some boredom?

I am sure you will be relieved once he gets the “all clear.”

And skin care?  Don’t get me going.  I am not a vain person, no right to be, but a skin care junkie.  Guess I like soft skin.

Now for some wonderful news.  About a month ago, my DD and SIL, who love their pets so much, had a kitty escape from the house.  They had lost two to illness, leaving only one.  So they adopted Hemingway from a shelter.  Yes, he has that extra toe and was found outside roaming before the shelter took him in.

They instantly adored him.  Then one day, a workman was doing some work outside, came in, and Hemie took off out the door.

They did everything.  Flyers, walk around (even at 2 am), their clothing put outside, posted on computer sites, called towns, shelters, etc.  Hemie  was chipped, but resisted a collar.  It has been a dark time for them, still going crazy trying to find him.

They live in a semi-rural area, with some houses around.

Well, Hemie was found by a lady my SIL’s aunt is friendly with.

He approached her for food, she took a picture, sent to DD, and it was Hemie.  First night, he was skittish and ran off.  But then a kind type of trap from Animal Control was used, with his favorite food to entice him in.  It worked, and Hemie is home tonight after being gone a month, being found about 6 to 7 miles from his home.  We have been praying for this, and he is purring away at home, so happy to be there.  He will be cleaned up and checked out by a vet, is thin, but we are so very happy for Hemie and his Mom and Dad.

I have eczema and my hands are bad in the winter bc of the constant washing, so even  when I oil up and I have used olive oil directly onto my skin - there are a gazillion times your hands need to be washed and it isn't just after going to the BR

just cooking and cleaning - your hands are constantly wet and the moisturizers are washed off yet again - and no I don't used the big rubber gloves when doing dishes

I do use a food grade glove when cleaning - but when it is a small clean up = bare hands which i know is bad... sigh

anyway... the rest of me is fine now...

I firmly believe that my cleanser is what helped me from getting dry skin on my face and body - Beekman 1802 soap - that helped and I do use their body cream or First Aid Beauty Cream - lotions will not do on my parched skin

in the summer - i use nothing... no body lotion or cream and my skin is soft and fine

so the regimen - my many serums, moisturizers and ptions are stopped

so it isn't what you do - the weather... humidity makes me sweat but keeps my skin from drying and cracking....

what do all of you do?
